Armadale Road was reported closed at Eighth Road in Seville Grove on Wednesday afternoon, 24 September 2025, after reports that a teenager had been struck by a vehicle. PerthNow reported that the teenager was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with injuries believed to be serious. The closure and detour advice below describe the situation at the time; they do not indicate the road is closed now.
What was reported
In a report published at 4:47 pm on 24 September 2025, PerthNow’s Chloe Maher said police were at the intersection of Armadale Road and Eighth Road in Seville Grove after reports of a teenager being hit by a vehicle. The report said the teenager had been transferred to Perth Children’s Hospital with injuries believed to be serious. That wording reflected the information available at the time, not a confirmed later medical assessment.
Traffic advice at the time
PerthNow reported that Main Roads WA had posted a warning on X at about 4:32 pm advising motorists to “exercise extreme caution”. Drivers were urged to seek an alternative route as congestion built up. These were contemporaneous directions for 24 September 2025, not current traffic advice.
What is not established
- The report did not give a time when Armadale Road reopened or say how long the closure lasted.
- It did not provide a later medical update or confirm the teenager’s eventual condition.
- It did not establish the cause of the incident, identify a driver or witness, or report the investigation’s outcome.
The report ended with “More to come,” so it was an initial account rather than a complete record of the response and aftermath. For a journey now, check live official traffic information rather than relying on this historical closure report.
