The 2026 Perth Super 440 brought the Supercars Championship back to Wanneroo Raceway in Neerabup from July 31 to August 2. West Australian Brodie Kostecki arrived hoping to win at his home circuit for the first time, but Matt Payne and Broc Feeney took the weekend’s race victories.
When was the Perth Supercars race at Wanneroo?
The Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 ran July 31–August 2, 2026, as Round 8 of the Repco Supercars Championship. The event has concluded; its preview schedule and travel arrangements are historical, not current offers. Supercars’ event information set out the weekend format.
Friday, July 31, featured practice. Saturday, August 1, had two qualifying sessions followed by two 120 km sprint races. Sunday, August 2, included qualifying, a Top Ten Shootout and a 200 km race. Times were listed in AWST.
Where is Wanneroo Raceway?
Wanneroo Raceway is in Neerabup, north of Perth. The venue hosted the Perth Super 440, also referred to as the Perth Supercars round. Supercars’ event page identifies the event and circuit.

How did Brodie Kostecki go at his home track?
Kostecki’s hoped-for first Supercars win at Wanneroo did not happen. Before the event, Supercars reported that he had not won at the circuit in four previous visits. His pre-race ambition was clear: after winning in Townsville, he said, “I’ve never won on home soil, so that would be really nice.” He also described Perth as requiring “a different car to make speed around there.” Supercars’ pre-event report recorded those comments.
That report described a mixed record at the circuit: Kostecki finished eighth and sixth in the opening 2022 races; he took three podiums in 2023 without a win; 2024 was difficult; and his 2025 visit with Dick Johnson Racing yielded fifth, seventh and 11th. Those results were the backdrop to his 2026 homecoming, not a forecast of what would happen that weekend.

In the first sprint, Kostecki was involved in a clash with Ford rival Kai Allen, and his Shell V-Power Racing Mustang ended up in the Turn 1 sand. Supercars reported that no penalties were issued over the incident. The event report covered the clash and race results.
Who won the 2026 Perth Super 440 races?
Matt Payne won Race 23 and the Sunday 200 km finale, defeating Broc Feeney. Feeney won Race 24. The weekend’s victories therefore went to Payne and Feeney, rather than the home-circuit win Kostecki had been seeking. Supercars’ report of the event provides the race outcomes.

The pre-event format had two 120 km races on Saturday and a 200 km race on Sunday. The WA Government’s 2025 announcement described the Sunday event as an endurance-style refuelling race. The government announcement gave that earlier format description.
How many people attended?
Supercars announced attendance of 40,213 in 2026, 15 percent above its reported 2025 figure of 34,817 and the event’s highest attendance since 2016. These are figures published by Supercars, not an independent attendance audit. Supercars’ attendance announcement gave the comparison.

Supercars Executive Chairman Barclay Nettlefold called the turnout “a fantastic result,” saying more than 40,000 people came through the gates. WA Deputy Premier and Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti said the atmosphere had been “electric.” The WA Government had previously described its support for the event as part of an effort to boost tourism, create jobs and diversify the state economy; that is the government’s stated rationale, not an independent measurement of economic impact.

For the completed 2026 weekend, Supercars said ticket holders could use complimentary Transperth trains and buses, including a shuttle between Clarkson Station and the venue. It warned that queues could form and parking was limited. Those arrangements apply to that event weekend only; they do not establish transport or parking details for a future round. Check the official event information for current-year ticket, travel and access arrangements before setting out.
