Unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, it paired a redesigned carbon-fibre chassis with the Zonda F’s naturally aspirated AMG V12 and six-speed manual. Pagani quotes a 7:29 Nürburgring lap and acceleration figures for the F, but those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. No verified current asking price or like-for-like public sale for a standard F Roadster is established here.
What is the Zonda F Roadster?
The “F” honors Juan Manuel Fangio. Pagani traces the model’s creation to 2005 and says its concept reflects a shared philosophy between Fangio and company founder Horacio Pagani: a clear mission and vision, pursued with lightness, safety, performance and inventiveness. Pagani’s anniversary publication dates the Roadster’s unveiling to the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. A secondary reference lists production from 2006 to 2009; treat that span as reference context rather than a factory-confirmed production record.
Pagani describes the Roadster as produced in Clubsport configuration. That distinction matters when reading specifications: the official Zonda F model page gives both standard and optional Clubsport output figures, while the Roadster-specific history identifies the open car as a 650 hp Clubsport.
Roadster engineering and construction
Open-top chassis
Pagani says the Roadster’s chassis was redesigned with new triaxial carbon-fibre fabrics, while retaining the coupé’s stated 1,230 kg weight. The Zonda F construction combines a central carbon-fibre chassis with front and rear chromium-molybdenum space frames and carbon-fibre MD System body panels. The added structural work for the open body is therefore a defining part of the Roadster, not simply a removed roof.

Powertrain and Clubsport output
Pagani specifies a Mercedes-Benz AMG 7,291 cc V12 mounted longitudinally in a mid-engine layout, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and self-locking differential. The company lists the standard Zonda F at 602 hp at 6,150 rpm and 760 Nm at 4,000 rpm; its optional Clubsport specification is 650 hp at 6,200 rpm and 780 Nm at 4,000 rpm. For the Roadster, Pagani’s history identifies the Clubsport configuration, so 650 hp is the relevant stated output rather than the coupé’s standard figure.
Chassis, wheels and brakes
The official Zonda F specification lists double-wishbone suspension, adjustable Öhlins dampers, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres. Pagani’s Roadster history specifies Brembo carbon-ceramic ventilated discs measuring 38 cm at both the front and rear for the Clubsport car. Pagani also says the Zonda F was the first car available, at a client’s request, with natural-surface exposed carbon-fibre bodywork; this option does not mean every Roadster wears exposed carbon.

Review: what makes the F Roadster distinctive?
The F Roadster’s appeal rests on the combination of an open body, a manual gearbox and the high-output Clubsport specification, rather than on a single headline number. The chassis redesign is significant because Pagani says it used triaxial carbon-fibre fabrics while retaining the stated coupé weight. The mechanical package remains focused: a large-displacement AMG V12, rear-wheel drive, a self-locking differential and adjustable suspension.

Its Fangio connection gives the “F” a specific historical reference rather than serving as an arbitrary trim label. Pagani frames the connection around shared ideas of lightness and performance balanced with safety and inventiveness. That is the manufacturer’s account of the design intent; the available figures and descriptions do not establish how the car behaves in an independent comparative test.

No current asking price or directly comparable public sale for a standard Zonda F Roadster is established by the available market evidence. RM Sotheby’s October 2025 commentary suggests F examples may command about $1.3 million above S examples, but it does not establish that premium for a Roadster or cite a particular F Roadster sale. It is broad auction-house commentary, not a price guide or an exact-car valuation.

RM Sotheby’s reported a $11,086,250 result for a 2014 Pagani Zonda LM Roadster at its Dubai sale in December 2024. The LM is a distinct, highly bespoke variant, so that result is not a comparable price for a Zonda F Roadster.
A meaningful valuation needs to match the exact body style and specification and account for provenance, condition, originality or factory conversion history, geography, currency and sale date. For an individual car, seek a specialist appraisal and compare genuinely like-for-like auction records rather than applying prices for other Zonda variants.

Pagani’s official Zonda F page includes a photogallery and videography, and its anniversary publication provides historical Roadster details. When identifying a particular car in images, distinguish factory material from later owner-specific configurations: exposed natural carbon was an available option, not a universal Roadster feature.
