The Times of India reported on October 7, 2024, that the episode followed Kamra posting an undated photograph of dusty Ola scooters outside an Ola showroom. Customers then posted complaints, and the public exchange involved Kamra and Ola founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal. The image’s date is not specified in the report.

The New Indian Express connected the online dispute with consumer complaints about after-sales service. The Times of India also described concerns at the time about service quality, declining market share and intensifying competition. Those reports provide business context; they do not prove that the exchange itself caused the share-price decline.
Did the spat cause the share-price decline?
The timing linked the decline to the public dispute in contemporaneous coverage, but the available reporting does not isolate the dispute as the cause. It also does not quantify the effect of executive social-media disputes on share prices generally. It would therefore be too strong to say the spat alone made Ola Electric shares fall.

The Times of India quoted Kranthi Bathini, director of equity strategy at Wealthmills Securities, saying: “The current social media spat is going to have a medium to short-term impact.” That is one analyst’s contemporaneous opinion, not a statistical estimate or settled finding about what drove the October 7 move.
