NTTモビリティは何をする会社か
NTTモビリティは、自動運転車を個人に販売する自動車メーカーではなく、自治体、交通事業者、企業などが自動運転サービスを導入し、継続して運営するための支援を担う会社です。NTTの2025年11月の発表では、グループ各社がそれぞれ取り組んできた技術や運用ノウハウを集め、NTTの全国的な地域ネットワークも生かしてサービスとして提供する方針が示されました。NTTの設立発表

設立の狙いは、分散した知見を一つの導入支援にまとめること
自動運転サービスを地域で動かすには、車両やシステムの選定だけでなく、運行エリアに合わせた導入準備、日々の運行、車両や周囲の状況の監視といった複数の機能が要ります。NTTが新会社を設けた理由は、グループ各社で蓄積した経験を一か所に集め、こうした要素を組み合わせて自治体や交通事業者に提供しやすくすることです。

NTTは設立発表時点で、グループ各社が全国で35件を超える実証に取り組んできたと説明しました。ただし、この数には2024年度の実績だけでなく、2025年度に予定していた実証も含まれます。すべてが完了済みの実証件数を示す数字ではありません。

2026年の取り組みは実証と運用づくりの段階
武蔵野市のCo-Creation Hub
NTTモビリティは、東京都武蔵野市の「Co-Creation Hub」を2026年6月1日に稼働させました。同社が説明するこの拠点は、車や歩行者、自転車が通行する公道を含む通年の実証フィールドです。自治体、交通事業者、サービス提供者などと連携し、安全性の向上、遠隔監視・制御の仕組みの確立、導入後も続けられるサービスモデルの構築を目指しています。Co-Creation Hubの稼働発表
May Mobilityのシステムを搭載したe-Palette
2026年9月3日、NTTモビリティとMay Mobilityは、May Mobilityの自動運転システムを搭載したトヨタのe-Paletteを使い、武蔵野市で公道実証を始めると発表しました。目的は走行性能や運行方法を磨き、将来のレベル4サービスにつなげることです。両社は同年度中に複数の場所で実証を行う計画と、2027年度にe-Paletteの車両数を増やす目標も示しています。これらは発表時点の計画であり、すでに達成した展開実績ではありません。公道実証の発表

したがって、設立の狙いは単に自動運転車を走らせることではありません。地域の移動サービスとして導入し、運行と監視を続けられる仕組みを整えることにあります。2026年の実証はその準備に位置づけられ、全国規模の商用サービスがすでに実現したことを示すものではありません。
