A 32-year-old passenger was reported in critical condition after a red Jeep Wrangler left the northbound Kwinana Freeway and rolled near Roe Highway in North Lake late on Sunday, 15 June 2025. PerthNow reported that firefighters freed the passenger and that Major Crash investigators were investigating. The reported condition was current as of Monday morning, 16 June; no later medical update is established here.
What happened on the Kwinana Freeway near Roe Highway in North Lake?
PerthNow reported that the Jeep Wrangler was travelling north on the Kwinana Freeway when it left the freeway and rolled near the Roe Highway intersection in North Lake at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, 15 June 2025. The report described the vehicle as red and did not state its model year or trim.
Firefighters used the jaws of life to free a passenger. Emergency services blocked off the area for several hours overnight.
Was the passenger critically injured?
PerthNow reported that the 32-year-old male passenger was seriously injured and remained in critical condition at Royal Perth Hospital on Monday morning. The 22-year-old male driver had minor injuries and was also being treated at Royal Perth Hospital. These are the conditions reported at that time, not a later or current medical update.

The report does not say why the Jeep left the freeway or rolled. It gives no confirmed cause or finding about speed, impairment, mechanical failure, road conditions or fault. Major Crash Investigation Section officers were investigating, according to PerthNow.
