Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The NIU XQi3 is an electric dirt bike sold in Street and Wild versions, but NIU’s product pages do not establish “Class B” as a legal or technical category. Whether an XQi3 can be ridden on public roads depends on the specific version and the rules where it will be registered and used. NIU publishes different speed figures across its pages, so buyers should confirm the regional model and its configuration rather than assume one universal specification.
Is the NIU XQi3 a “Class B” e-dirtbike?
“Class B” is not defined on the NIU XQi3 product pages reviewed here, and the pages do not identify a regulator or homologation standard that assigns the bike to that category. The phrase therefore should not be treated as a confirmed vehicle classification. Check the registration and vehicle rules for your country or state before relying on a class label or a general “street-legal” description.
NIU markets the XQi3 as a street-legal and off-road dirt bike on its global product page. That is the manufacturer’s description, not a determination that every regional version is road-legal in every jurisdiction. NIU also says product offerings may vary by region and that displayed specifications may be reference information on its comparison page.
What is the difference between the XQi3 Street and Wild?
NIU’s comparison page identifies two versions and gives them different maximum speeds. It shows shared specifications for both, but does not establish that a given bike is approved for road use in your jurisdiction.

All figures in the table are from NIU’s comparison page, which cautions that regional offerings can differ and that listed specifications may be reference information. Its range figures are internal laboratory results, not a promise of distance in everyday riding. NIU says real range can vary with wind, surface and riding habits.
Which version fits your use?
- Street: The comparison page lists a 45 km/h maximum. Consider it only after checking the exact regional version’s registration eligibility and required road equipment locally.
- Wild: The comparison page lists a 75 km/h maximum. Its name and speed figure alone do not establish whether it is road-approved; confirm the intended off-road or road-use status with NIU and the relevant local authority.
How fast is the NIU XQi3?
NIU’s figures depend on the page and version. The global XQi3 page says 45 km/h for street-legal use and 80 km/h off-road. The comparison page instead lists 45 km/h for the Street and 75 km/h for the Wild. These should not be merged into a single guaranteed top speed: the pages describe different use contexts and variant listings, and do not explain every regional configuration or software setting. Confirm the model and speed configuration with the seller for the market where you will ride.

Power figures also refer to different labels. NIU’s comparison page lists rated power and 30-minute maximum continuous output as 3,500 W; its global page advertises Ultra Boost “up to 10,800 W.” Those values should be understood as different power specifications or operating modes, not interchangeable measurements of continuous rated output.
What range can you expect?
NIU advertises 80–90 km on its global page, while its comparison page lists 90 km for both Street and Wild. NIU says the comparison-page range comes from internal laboratory testing and that actual distance varies with wind, road surface and rider behavior. Treat 90 km as a manufacturer test figure, not a guaranteed trip distance—particularly for off-road riding, where conditions and riding style can differ substantially.

Battery, charging, fit and brakes
NIU describes a removable 72 V, 32 Ah LG lithium-ion battery on its global page. The comparison page lists 5.3 hours as charging time, alongside a 76 kg vehicle weight, 100 kg load capacity and 875 mm seat height for both versions. Check those figures against the specific regional bike and its documentation before purchase; fit and load suitability depend on the rider and carried equipment.
NIU lists a 220 mm front disc and 203 mm rear disc on its global page. Disc diameter alone does not establish braking performance in all conditions, so it should not be used as a substitute for an assessment of the bike’s condition, setup or suitability for the terrain.

What ownership information is available?
NIU’s support page lists a user manual for the XQi3 Street and Wild. NIU Mobility Switzerland lists service documentation, including a service manual and wiring/logic diagram, on its service page. Owners should use documentation for their exact model and market, and consult an authorized service provider where appropriate.
For independent ride context, Freshly Charged’s video description, published June 6, 2025, says NIU supplied the bike and that the video covers setup, specifications, speed tests and ride impressions. Those observations belong to that reviewer and should not be confused with NIU’s published specifications or a road-approval determination.
