Nissan had announced the 400-unit special edition on October 27, 2025, ahead of the show; it is a more focused version of the existing Skyline 400R, not a new Skyline generation.
What is the Skyline 400R Limited?
Nissan described it as a special edition limited to 400 units, based on the top-grade Skyline 400R. The company scheduled Japanese orders to open November 13, 2025, on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocation was reached, with deliveries scheduled from December 18, 2025. Nissan’s official product announcement listed a Japanese retail price of ¥6,935,500 including consumption tax. That is the launch price in Japan, not a current quote or a price for other markets.
The car uses a 3.0-liter VR30DDTT engine listed at 400 metric horsepower, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (2WD). Nissan called it the culmination of the then-current Skyline line; that description does not make it a new-generation model.
What changed compared with the regular 400R?
The Limited combines wider rear tires with revised chassis tuning, different brake pads and distinctive trim. Nissan’s product details describe the equipment and the company’s performance comparisons.

| Area | Skyline 400R Limited | Regular 400R comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese launch price, including consumption tax | ¥6,935,500 | ¥6,495,500 |
| Production | Limited to 400 units | No corresponding cap stated in Nissan’s cited launch material |
| Tires | Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600: 245/40R19 front, 265/35R19 rear | Nissan says the Limited’s rear tire is 20 mm wider than the previous 400R tire size; the prior size is not stated in the cited product details |
| Suspension tuning | Front spring rate increased 4%; rear stabilizer spring rate increased 44% | Standard setup used as the comparison by Nissan |
| Brake pads | Special Low Steel pads | Nissan says the Limited pads provide approximately 1.5 times the standard 400R’s fade resistance in a temperature comparison |
| Distinctive trim | Carbon rear spoiler and mirror covers, carbon center-cluster finisher, numbered plate | These Limited-specific items are not listed for the standard 400R |
The price difference at announcement was ¥440,000. Nissan says the spring and stabilizer changes reduce body roll and improve stability, and that its brake-pad comparison showed greater fade resistance. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
Wheels, tires and chassis details
The Limited’s staggered 19-inch wheels carry 245/40R19 tires at the front and 265/35R19 tires at the rear. The factory tire is the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600. Nissan says the wider rear tire is 20 mm broader than the prior 400R fitment.

For the suspension, Nissan raised the front spring rate by 4% and the rear stabilizer spring rate by 44% relative to the standard setup it describes. The changes are intended to reduce roll and improve stability. The Low Steel brake pads are also specific to the Limited; Nissan’s approximately 1.5-times fade-resistance figure comes from its own temperature comparison, rather than an independent road or track test.
Exterior and interior features
Outside, the Limited is distinguished by a special carbon rear spoiler, carbon door-mirror covers and a Limited badge. Inside, it has a carbon center-cluster finisher and a serial-number plate. Buyers cannot choose the plate number.
