Manufacturer specifications confirm four production performance cars with top-speed claims of 200 mph or more: the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Maserati MCPURA, 2025 Ford Mustang GTD and 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S. Chevrolet has also announced a 200-mph 2027 Corvette Stingray 1LT, but it should be treated separately until its availability is confirmed. The available specifications do not substantiate a list of ten, and the figures below are not results from one standardized comparison test.
Which new performance cars are confirmed to reach 200 mph?
The table compares manufacturer-published claims, preserving each maker’s label. A “top track speed” or “racetrack top speed” is not necessarily a directly comparable figure to another manufacturer’s unqualified “top speed.” Model year and market are included where specified in the cited material.
| Car | Manufacturer’s stated figure | Model year and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 | 233 mph racetrack top speed | 2025 model; General Motors reported the figure in June 2025 for the US-market car. General Motors |
| Maserati MCPURA | Greater than 202 mph | US press kit, July 2025; manufacturer specification. Maserati |
| Ford Mustang GTD | 202 mph top speed | 2025 model; Ford announced the figure in 2024. Ford Motor Company |
| Porsche 911 Turbo S | 200 mph top track speed | 2026 model; Porsche announcement for the new range-topping 911. Porsche Cars North America |
These are maker claims rather than measurements from a shared test protocol. They establish that the cars meet the 200-mph threshold as described by their manufacturers, but they do not support a rigorous fastest-to-slowest ranking.
What the specifications say about each car
2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: 233 mph racetrack top speed
General Motors reported a 233-mph racetrack top speed for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 in June 2025. GM also said all four test drivers exceeded 200 mph on their first Nürburgring laps in a 2024 announcement. The company listed a US starting MSRP of $175,195 including destination freight charge in its June 2025 report; that dated figure may change. General Motors

Maserati MCPURA: greater than 202 mph
Maserati’s July 2025 US press kit gives the MCPURA a top speed greater than 202 mph. That is a manufacturer specification, not an independently described comparative test. The press-kit figure alone does not establish the car’s current sales availability, so check with Maserati for present-market status before treating it as an orderable new-car option. Maserati
2025 Ford Mustang GTD: 202 mph
Ford’s 2024 announcement for the 2025 Mustang GTD states a 202-mph top speed and describes it as the fastest street-legal Mustang. The speed is Ford’s stated specification. Ford Motor Company

2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S: 200 mph top track speed
Porsche lists a 200-mph top track speed for the 2026 911 Turbo S, which its announcement describes as the new range-topping 911. The release also identifies T-Hybrid powertrain technology. Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister praised the car’s agility, grip and track pace in the same release; that is Porsche’s promotional statement, not independent comparative evidence. 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT without Z51
Chevrolet announced a 200-mph top speed for the 2027 Corvette Stingray in 1LT configuration without the Z51 performance package. Its announcement listed a starting price of $73,495. Because this is a 2027 model announced in 2026, its status should be described as upcoming or announced unless availability has since been confirmed. The speed claim applies specifically to the 1LT without Z51; it should not be generalized to every Stingray configuration. Chevrolet

Why this is not a verified top-ten list
The manufacturer-backed information establishes four current or recent production cars at or above 200 mph, plus the separately announced 2027 Corvette Stingray. It does not establish ten eligible models with clearly identified model years, markets and configurations. Adding cars based on estimates or unverified claims would make the list less useful, not more complete.
One related model is not enough to fill the gap: Chevrolet reported that production of the 2026 Corvette ZR1X began in December 2025, but the cited announcement does not provide a top-speed figure. It therefore cannot be counted here as a confirmed 200-mph car on the available specification. Chevrolet

How to interpret a 200-mph claim
- Read the label. A stated “top track speed” or “racetrack top speed” has a specific context; preserve the manufacturer’s wording rather than treating all figures as identical test results.
- Check model year and configuration. A speed claim for one model year or package does not automatically apply to a different year, trim or equipment package.
- Separate specification from availability. An announced future model is not necessarily available to buy, and a press-kit specification does not confirm current inventory.
- Do not treat a specification as driving advice. These figures describe manufacturer claims, not safe or legal speeds for public roads.
