More Retail deployed 110 Montra Electric EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicles across its distribution network, the company reported on October 1, 2026. The vehicles support store replenishment and local deliveries. They are part of More Retail’s existing 150-vehicle electric mid-mile fleet—not an additional 110 on top of it—so electric vehicles make up 25% of the 600-vehicle fleet.
How many EVIATORs did More Retail deploy?
More Retail’s October 2026 deployment totals 110 EVIATORs across its distribution network. Twenty-five were flagged off in Bengaluru on October 1; the report does not itemise the locations of the wider deployment. EVreporter’s October 1 report says these vehicles are included in the retailer’s existing mid-mile fleet.
More Retail has 150 electric vehicles in a mid-mile fleet of 600. That is 25% electric, calculated from the reported totals. The 110 EVIATORs therefore account for part of those 150 electric vehicles, rather than increasing the total to 710. Autocar Professional also reports the 150-of-600 totals, although it describes the share as roughly 30% in one passage; the arithmetic yields 25%. Autocar Professional’s coverage corroborates the fleet counts.
What routes and work are the trucks intended for?
The EVIATORs are reported for mid-mile store replenishment and local deliveries: moving goods through More Retail’s distribution network and on to stores. The companies say the fleet travels at least 22,000 km collectively per day and expect it to reduce tailpipe CO₂ emissions by more than 1,750 tonnes annually, according to EVreporter. Both figures are company-reported estimates; the emissions reduction is projected, not an independently measured result.

More Retail National Transport Manager Prasanna Hegde said the vehicles had accumulated over 8.8 lakh kilometres on the company’s routes as of the October 2026 report. That is a cumulative figure attributed to Hegde, not a third-party audit. He also described the fleet’s operational priorities: “Our mid-mile fleet keeps our stores stocked every day, so reliability comes first for us.”
What are the EVIATOR’s payload, deck and range figures?
EVreporter describes the EVIATOR as a 3.5-tonne electric small commercial vehicle with a 10.3-foot loading deck and payload capacity up to 1,707 kg. It also reports fleet-management functions including live battery status, driver-behaviour analytics and route optimisation. These are reported specifications and capabilities, not independent test results.

- Diecast Masters | 1:87 Scale Cat CT660 Day Cab Tractor with Lowboy Trailer and Cat 163H Motor Grader | Model 84414
Montra Electric lists three EVIATOR battery configurations. Its published real-world ranges are manufacturer claims, and the October fleet report does not identify which variant—or mix of variants—the 110 vehicles use.
| Variant | Battery | Manufacturer-stated real-world range |
|---|---|---|
| EVIATOR 350 | 32 kWh | 140+ km |
| EVIATOR 350L | 40 kWh | 170+ km |
| EVIATOR 350L+ | 50 kWh | 200+ km |
Montra says the range includes AC and DC charging options and CCS2 fast charging. In an April 24, 2026 announcement, it positioned the 32 kWh model for short urban runs up to 140 km and the 50 kWh model for intercity work, with a stated 200+ km real-world range. These figures and use-case descriptions come from the manufacturer, not an independent vehicle test. Montra’s EVIATOR product page and its April announcement provide the specifications.

Are these the same as More Retail’s 100 refrigerated trucks?
No. On May 18, 2026, Montra announced delivery of 100 EVIATOR 350 refrigerated trucks for More Retail, working with Green Drive Mobility and TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution for quick-commerce operations. That was a separate announcement from October’s 110 EVIATOR deployment in the mid-mile fleet. The reports do not establish whether the deployments overlap in any way, so their unit counts should not be added together or treated as a single fleet total.
For the refrigerated configuration, Montra reported a temperature range of −25°C to +25°C and more than 130 km of range under active refrigeration, extendable beyond 250 km with a 45-minute DC fast charge. Those are the company’s stated specifications for the reefer trucks, not verified performance figures for the October mid-mile vehicles. Montra’s May 18 announcement covers the refrigerated-truck delivery.

What the deployment figures do—and do not—show
The reported deployment establishes that More Retail is operating 110 EVIATORs within a 150-vehicle electric segment of its 600-vehicle mid-mile fleet. It does not establish the EVIATORs’ precise battery mix, independently measured emissions savings or operating-cost advantage over diesel vehicles. Hegde’s comments offer the retailer’s experience with route mileage, comfort and dependability, but remain stakeholder testimony rather than comparative test results.
For a fleet assessing a similar switch, the useful comparison starts with the work each vehicle must do: daily route distance and duty cycle, payload and loading dimensions, any temperature-control requirement, charging access and turnaround time, and total cost of ownership. Montra frames its variants around different routes and uses, but the available deployment reports do not provide an independently verified competing-vehicle cost comparison. Saju Nair, CEO of Montra Electric’s e-SCV Division, put the company’s case this way: “Electrification of commercial mobility will accelerate when it delivers measurable business value at scale.”
