It is an L7e quadricycle, not a small passenger car, and its price makes it a specialist choice rather than an obvious value buy.
What the Microlino is—and who it suits
The Microlino is a two-seat electric quadricycle. Its manufacturer classifies it as L7e, as does ADAC for the German-market 10.5 kWh version. That distinction matters: it is designed around lightweight urban mobility, not as a like-for-like substitute for a conventional passenger car. Licensing and registration rules depend on where you live, so confirm the requirements for the precise version in your country before buying.

Its strongest case is for a design-minded driver making short trips around town, perhaps as a second or third vehicle. Auto Express’s 7 April 2026 review describes it as expensive and uncomfortable, and says it is practical mainly for short urban journeys, while also praising its charm. Those are the reviewer’s judgments, not the result of a controlled comparison with every rival.
Range: choose the battery, then treat the figure as a test result
Microlino lists three battery capacities and corresponding claimed ranges. The figures depend on the manufacturer’s published specifications; range in everyday use can differ.

| Battery | Manufacturer-stated range | Basis and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| 5.5 kWh | 93 km | Microlino product-page figure; its 2025 Netherlands price list says the range figures use WMTC and may vary considerably in practice. |
| 10.5 kWh | 177 km | Microlino product-page figure. ADAC also lists 177 km WLTP for its German-market 10.5 kWh model from June 2025. |
| 15 kWh | 228 km | Microlino product-page figure; its 2025 Netherlands price list says the range figures use WMTC and may vary considerably in practice. |
WMTC and WLTP are different test-cycle labels, so do not compare their numbers as though they were measured on the same basis. The Netherlands list warns that riding style, load, topography and season can significantly affect actual range. These published figures are not a promise of the distance you will cover between charges.
Charging is straightforward, but not quick
For the German-market 10.5 kWh model listed by ADAC from June 2025, the published charging data is AC-focused: a Type 2 connector and 2.6 kW charging power. ADAC gives 210 minutes for a full charge using a 2.6 kW domestic Schuko supply. Electrifying says the Microlino has no rapid-charging provision. That makes regular charging where the vehicle is parked a more natural fit than relying on short public charging stops.
Before purchase, check the charging equipment included with the exact trim and market, and whether your parking arrangement supports the routine you expect. The published charging figures above describe that specific German 10.5 kWh listing, not necessarily every market or version.
A very small footprint with a useful boot
ADAC’s German-market 10.5 kWh specification lists the Microlino at 2,519 mm long and 1,473 mm wide, with two seats and 230 litres of luggage volume. That is a striking amount of stated boot space for such a compact vehicle, but the cabin’s two-seat limit defines its usefulness: it cannot serve households that need a rear bench or regular passenger capacity beyond the driver and one passenger.
Electrifying found the interior appealingly finished, while noting a firm seat and limited long-distance comfort. Together with Auto Express’s short-trip assessment, that points to the Microlino’s intended sweet spot: errands and city journeys rather than sustained time on faster roads or long-distance travel.
Price: market and date matter
Prices differ by country, date, battery and trim; they should not be treated as a single universal Microlino price.
| Market and date | Published price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Germany, ADAC listing from June 2025 | €25,990 | Base price for the listed 10.5 kWh model. |
| Netherlands, February 2025 price list | €19,990 | 5.5 kWh Microlino; the list includes 21% VAT and Dutch BPM. |
| Netherlands, February 2025 price list | €21,990 | 10.5 kWh Microlino; the list includes 21% VAT and Dutch BPM. |
| Netherlands, February 2025 price list | €23,490 | 15 kWh Microlino; the list includes 21% VAT and Dutch BPM. |
The Netherlands figures are historical regional list prices, not a current quote or a price for another country. Check the current local price, trim, delivery terms and what equipment is included with the seller before comparing offers. Against ordinary small cars, the Microlino’s expense is a real drawback; its appeal depends on whether its particular size, character and urban role are worth paying for.

Electrifying says the Microlino lacks airbags and the ABS requirements associated with quadricycle status. Treat that as the review’s description, not a full equipment specification for every variant: confirm safety equipment on the precise vehicle offered in your market. The available sources do not establish an independent crash-test score, so there is no basis here for a comparative crash-safety rating.

Construction and manufacturer details do not substitute for an independently published crash-test result. When comparing vehicles, keep structural claims, standard equipment, regulatory class and crash-test ratings as separate questions.
Quick Recap
How to decide whether it is right for you
- Check the vehicle class and local rules. Confirm L7e classification, registration and licence requirements for the exact version where it will be used.
- Match the battery and range basis to your routine. Compare battery size and WMTC or WLTP figures explicitly, and leave room for real-world variation.
- Test your charging routine. Consider the listed 2.6 kW AC rate and whether the vehicle can charge during normal parking time.
- Be honest about passengers and trips. Two seats and a city-focused comfort profile will not fit every household or journey pattern.
- Compare like with like on price. Use current local prices for the same battery, trim, taxes and included equipment.
- Ask what safety evidence exists. Verify version-specific equipment and seek an authoritative independent crash assessment rather than inferring one from construction descriptions.
