MG Motor Pakistan identifies the MG HS PHEV as its first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle. The milestones were separate: the company planned an unveiling at Pakistan Auto Show 2024, then recorded the vehicle lining off its Lahore assembly line on December 24, 2024. MG’s launch-era booking price is historical, not a current quote.
What was launched, and when?
The vehicle is the MG HS PHEV, a plug-in hybrid electric SUV. MG Motor Pakistan calls it Pakistan’s first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle; Dawn’s October 2024 report also described the planned model as the country’s first CKD plug-in hybrid. “First” is therefore a company claim reported contemporaneously, not an independently verified industry ranking.

What specifications has MG published?
The figures below come from MG’s Pakistan-market brochure and current model page. They are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The two sources present some performance figures differently, so their numbers are kept separate.

Is the launch price still current?
MG’s December 24, 2024 video description listed an early-bird booking price of PKR 9,499,000. That was a dated launch promotion; the available sources do not establish today’s price, booking status, or stock. Contact an MG dealer for a current written quotation and delivery information.

What should a buyer confirm?
- Ask for the current price, available trim, inventory and expected delivery date in writing.
- Confirm the warranty terms for the vehicle, high-voltage battery and hybrid components, including coverage duration and exclusions.
- Check whether home charging is practical at your parking location and what equipment and electrical work MG requires.
- Verify the connector type and compatibility with any home or public charging equipment; the brochure alone does not establish this.
- Request current owner and service information for your area. The cited launch and product materials do not establish real-world fuel economy, current after-sales support or comparative value against other vehicles.
