Current manufacturer data supports a shortlist of five metric cruisers for 2026, not a ranked top ten. No test program or measured market study in the available sources ranks ten models against one another, so this guide compares the five on the figures their makers publish and explains how to weigh them.
The scope matters. The term “metric cruiser” has no formal definition. This guide uses it for cruisers from makers based outside the United States whose engines are listed in cubic centimetres. Sources differ by market and year: the two Honda pages are 2026 US listings, the Kawasaki page is a 2026 India listing, the Royal Enfield page is a US listing with no publication year shown, and the Suzuki brochure is dated 2025. Figures from different markets and years should not be read as directly interchangeable.

The table lists models alphabetically by maker. The order is not a ranking. “Not stated” means the value is not given in the cited source for this guide.

Model notes
Honda Rebel 500
Honda lists a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin with a six-speed manual and slipper clutch, ABS, a 27.2-inch seat and a 414-pound curb weight for the 2026 US model. The base US MSRP is $6,799 before a $600 destination charge. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results. The lower seat height and weight are the most relevant points for riders who prioritise easy handling at a standstill, but neither figure says how the bike feels on the road. Full details are on the Honda Powersports 2026 Rebel 500 page.

Honda Rebel 1100
The Rebel 1100 uses a 1084cc liquid-cooled parallel twin. For the base manual version, Honda lists a 27.9-inch seat height and a 497-pound curb weight, with a base US MSRP of $9,699 before a $775 destination charge. Honda’s page also shows DCT (automatic-clutch) variants, which carry different weights and prices. Compare trims separately rather than quoting one figure for the whole model. See the Honda Powersports 2026 Rebel 1100 page.
Kawasaki Vulcan S
Kawasaki India publishes a 2026 Vulcan S page, which establishes the model for the Indian market. It does not establish availability or pricing in the United States or elsewhere. Engine, weight and seat-height figures are not given in this guide, so check the Kawasaki India 2026 Vulcan S page directly before drawing any comparison.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650
Royal Enfield describes the Super Meteor 650 as a cruiser and lists a 648cc parallel twin producing 47 PS and 52.3 Nm of torque. Those are metric units as the maker publishes them; do not convert or compare them directly with horsepower or lb-ft figures from other makers without stating the conversion. The US page does not show a publication year, and this guide does not state seat height, weight or price for the model. See the Royal Enfield USA Super Meteor 650 page.
Suzuki Boulevard C50
Suzuki’s 2025 US cruiser brochure includes the Boulevard C50 and publishes its specifications and warranty information. The brochure is dated 2025, so it confirms the model’s inclusion in that year’s line-up rather than its status for 2026. Confirm current availability and specifications with a dealer. The brochure is available from Suzuki Motor USA’s 2025 cruiser brochure.

How to compare these bikes for yourself
Published specifications can narrow a list, but a fair comparison needs the same questions asked of every model. Work through these in order:
- Out-the-door cost. Start with base MSRP, then add destination, taxes, registration and dealer fees. The Honda figures above exclude taxes and dealer charges, and the Rebel 1100’s $775 destination fee is higher than the Rebel 500’s $600.
- Model year and market. Only compare prices and specifications from the same year and country. A 2025 brochure and a 2026 product page can differ.
- Trim and transmission. Check whether the figure you are reading is for a manual or an automatic-clutch version. On the Rebel 1100, weight and price change with the transmission choice.
- Seat height and weight. These affect how easily you can get the bike upright and manoeuvre it at low speed. Sit on the bike before buying, because your inseam and reach determine the real fit.
- Braking and equipment. Confirm whether ABS is standard on the trim you are considering. The Honda listings for the Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 are the only sources here that state ABS for those models.
- Intended use. Think about city riding, highway miles, two-up riding and luggage. The sources do not establish how these five models perform in those conditions relative to each other.
What the spec sheets cannot tell you
Manufacturer pages do not measure comfort, handling feel, vibration, reliability or long-distance suitability, and these sources do not provide independent assessments of those qualities. Any claim that one of these bikes is the most comfortable, the most reliable or the best for touring would need evidence the sources here do not contain. Treat the table as a screening tool, and use a test ride or independent owner and reviewer reports to judge the qualities that matter most to you.
