Mercury’s “most powerful electric outboards yet” are the Avator 75e and 110e, announced at CES 2024. Launch-era reporting put their prop-shaft outputs at 7.5 kW (10 hp) and 11 kW (14.8 hp), respectively. Mercury currently describes both as its most powerful electric outboard models, aimed at smaller boats—not as replacements for its combustion outboards.
What are the Avator 75e and 110e?
The Avator 75e and 110e are Mercury Marine electric outboards introduced at CES 2024. Mercury’s current Canadian English site continues to identify them as its most powerful electric outboard models. The announcement does not refer to Mercury’s gasoline-powered outboards. Mercury Marine’s current Canadian English site describes the electric models as suitable for aluminum fishing boats, compact pontoons and small fiberglass runabouts.
How much power do the two motors produce?
In a January 16, 2024 report, New Atlas gave the Avator 75e an output of up to 7.5 kW (10 hp) at the prop shaft and the 110e an output of 11 kW (14.8 hp) at the prop shaft. These are launch-era reported specifications; Mercury’s current Canadian page confirms the models but does not publish those detailed output figures.

What boats are they intended for?
Mercury’s current model positioning emphasizes aluminum fishing boats, compact pontoons and small fiberglass runabouts. New Atlas’s 2024 launch report also listed aluminum and composite pontoons, skiffs and inflatables among the craft the motors were designed to serve, and noted possible commercial fleet use and waterways that restrict internal-combustion propulsion. Those descriptions indicate a focus on smaller craft and use cases where electric propulsion is useful; they do not establish suitability for every boat of a given type.

What runtime was reported?
New Atlas reported manufacturer-target runtime of about one hour at full throttle and two to three hours at 75% throttle. These were launch-era targets, not independently tested results or guaranteed operating times. Actual runtime varies with the boat and conditions of use.
The report said modular lithium-ion batteries could be added to extend runtime. It does not establish which battery packs are compatible with each motor, how many can be used, or how much additional time a particular setup provides. Confirm configuration and compatibility with Mercury or an authorized dealer.

What is known about price and availability?
Mercury’s launch plan, as reported in January 2024, was to share more performance data and pricing closer to a planned mid-2024 launch. That historical plan does not establish current pricing or availability, and the current Mercury page cited here does not provide a verified price for either model. Check with Mercury or an authorized dealer for current regional availability, price and specifications before making a purchase decision.
For context only, New Atlas reported a US$4,930 launch MSRP for Mercury’s Avator 35e in 2023. That was a different model and an earlier price; it is not a price for the 75e or 110e.
