Their retail status is not identical: the electric GLC is listed in the U.S. with its price marked “coming soon,” while Mercedes-Benz has reported production and German ordering for certain versions. A separate high-performance AMG electric SUV is in development, without a firm retail launch date.
Mercedes-Benz’s current U.S. electric SUV lineup
This is a U.S.-market snapshot based on Mercedes-Benz USA’s lineup and model-year information, not a global availability list. A model being listed does not by itself establish that it is orderable or in stock at every dealer. Confirm the model year, trim, and local inventory before treating a listing as available to buy.

The ordinary GLC 350e 4MATIC is a plug-in hybrid, not a battery-electric SUV. Mercedes-Benz USA lists it separately from the GLC Electric SUV.
EQB: the compact option, with seating configuration to check
Mercedes-Benz USA describes the EQB as a compact SUV that can seat up to seven. Its displayed model-page figures are a 70.5 kWh battery and 250 miles of EPA-estimated range. Treat that range as the U.S. page’s estimate for the displayed model, not a universal figure for every EQB trim or market. Check the specific vehicle’s seating configuration, since “up to seven” does not mean every EQB is equipped for seven occupants.

EQE SUV: use the 2026 U.S. variant names
For model year 2026, Mercedes-Benz USA says the EQE SUV moves from EQE 350+ and EQE 350 4MATIC to EQE 320+ and EQE 320 4MATIC. The update cites 315 hp, up from 288 hp, and says a NACS DC fast-charging adapter is standard. These are the U.S. update’s variant and equipment details; verify the exact model-year vehicle and configuration when shopping.
EQS SUV and Maybach: related, but separate model families
Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2026 update names EQS 400 4MATIC and EQS 550 4MATIC, replacing EQS 450 4MATIC and EQS 580 4MATIC. The update also lists heated rear seats, a second-row wireless phone charger, luxury headrests, rear side airbags, and a standard NACS DC fast-charging adapter. Confirm that the equipment applies to the particular vehicle and configuration rather than assuming every listing includes it.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 is identified separately in the same update, along with expanded personalization choices. It is a Maybach derivative, not simply another name for or trim of the EQS 550.
The electric GLC: production, German ordering, and range figures
The electric GLC has progressed beyond an announcement, but market-specific labels matter. Mercedes-Benz Media reported on May 6, 2026, that production of the GLC with EQ Technology had begun at the Bremen plant. That release gives the GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ Technology a maximum range of up to 715 km under WLTP and says that, under the stated charging conditions, ten minutes can add enough energy for up to 305 km of range. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independent road-test results.

A later Mercedes-Benz Media release, dated June 9, 2026, said two additional versions could be ordered in Germany: the GLC 250 electric, with up to 650 km WLTP, and the GLC 300 4MATIC electric, with up to 616 km WLTP. The order status and German prices in that release apply to Germany; they do not establish U.S. ordering or pricing. Mercedes-Benz USA’s listing calls the model the GLC Electric SUV and shows its price as “coming soon.”
There are two different published range figures for the GLC 400 in the available announcements. Mercedes-Benz’s 2025 launch press-kit material described a 360 kW GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ Technology and gave a preliminary range of up to 713 km WLTP. The May 2026 Bremen production release later reported up to 715 km WLTP. The 713 km figure is preliminary launch material; the later release is the newer published figure. Neither figure is an EPA estimate.

In its May 2026 production announcement, Bremen plant manager Michael Frieß said: “The response from customers has been outstanding: In the first three months of the year, the all-new electric GLC has generated more orders than any other electric model in the company’s history.” This is Mercedes-Benz’s statement about orders, not a published order count or evidence that the vehicle was then available in every market.

- Keep test cycles attached to the number. The EQB page’s 250-mile figure is EPA-estimated; the electric GLC figures cited here are WLTP estimates published by Mercedes-Benz Media. Do not rank them as if they came from the same test.
- Distinguish listed, orderable, and in production. The U.S. lineup listing establishes that a model is presented in that market, not that it can be ordered or is in dealer inventory. The GLC’s reported German ordering and Bremen production are separate facts and do not prove U.S. retail availability.
- Compare the same model year and variant. Mercedes-Benz revised EQE and EQS variant names for the 2026 U.S. lineup. Keep “+” and 4MATIC distinctions in the name where specified; do not carry older variant labels forward as if unchanged.
- Check the actual seating and equipment. The EQB’s “up to seven” description is not a promise that every configuration has a third row. The listed EQS equipment and NACS adapter details should be checked against the specific model year and vehicle.
- Do not confuse a DC fast-charging adapter with home charging equipment. The 2026 U.S. update identifies a standard NACS DC fast-charging adapter on the specified EQE and EQS models. It does not establish home-charger compatibility or home electrical requirements.
What Mercedes electric SUVs are announced for the future?
AMG’s standalone electric SUV is in development
Mercedes-AMG announced in November 2024 that it was developing a standalone high-performance SUV on its all-electric AMG.EA platform. The announcement called it the platform’s second planned model, but did not provide a firm retail launch date or final production specifications. It is best described as a development program, not a confirmed near-term showroom model.

A planned electric C-Class is not an SUV
A Mercedes-Benz production plan published in September 2025 scheduled production of a future C-Class with EQ technology to start in the second quarter of 2026. That was a plan stated at the time, not confirmation of current retail availability; in any case, the C-Class is a car, so it should not be counted among the electric SUVs.
The official announcements cited here do not establish a complete global calendar of future Mercedes electric SUV launches, final specifications, or market-by-market availability. Treat a vehicle as upcoming only when a dated company announcement supports that status, and do not infer a showroom date from a development announcement.
