For the U.S. 2020 C 63 S Coupe, Mercedes-Benz lists 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, a 0–60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 180 mph. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.
Chassis and published ownership figures
The same U.S. specification lists an estimated curb weight of 4,134 lb, 9-by-19-inch front and 10.5-by-19-inch rear wheels, and tires sized 255/35 R19 front and 285/30 R19 rear. Brake discs are listed at 15.4 inches front and 14.2 inches rear. Published fuel economy is 17 mpg city, 26 highway, and 20 combined; those model-year figures are not a promise of real-world consumption. The original listed MSRP was $77,500, plus a $995 destination and delivery charge. That is a historical launch price, not a current used-car valuation.

What the S adds over the C 63
The U.S. 2020 specification makes the distinction measurable. The S has more output, quicker listed acceleration, and a higher electronically limited top speed than the standard C 63. A later U.S. reference guide also identifies S-specific dynamic engine mounts and a nine-setting AMG traction-control system for the 2021 model year. The guide lists an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and AMG Performance Exhaust for the C 63/C 63 S range; it does not make those two features S-only. Why power figures differ by market
Mercedes-AMG’s global 2018 facelift announcement lists the C 63 S Coupe at 375 kW (510 PS) and 700 Nm. The U.S. specification instead uses horsepower and pound-feet. PS is metric horsepower, not the same unit as U.S. hp; the figures should be quoted with their original units and market context rather than blended into one supposedly universal rating. Is it truly the last rear-wheel-drive V8 AMG?
The evidence supports the precise, narrower statement that the C 63 S Coupe is a rear-wheel-drive V8 AMG, and the 2020 U.S. model is a documented example. The official sources cited here do not establish a definitive final production year, last-built date, or all-market production-history record proving that it was the last RWD V8 AMG model in an absolute sense. Treat “last” as an evocative description, not a verified global cutoff.
