Reports describe it with a Chevrolet chassis, a V8 engine, automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive; the aircraft-style engine pods are decorative, with speakers and lighting rather than working jet engines. Although past coverage called it road legal, that does not establish the vehicle’s registration or legality today in any particular place.
What is the Limo-Jet?
It is a limousine constructed around the cabin and fuselage of a Learjet. Quatro Rodas reports that builder Jetsetter reused aircraft parts including the elevators, door and engine supports, then mounted the fuselage assembly on a Chevrolet chassis. Carscoops also describes an empty Learjet fuselage fitted with road-vehicle running gear. Quatro Rodas; Carscoops.

There are overlapping names and attributions in coverage of Learjet-based limousines. Quatro Rodas credits Jetsetter with building the specific Limo-Jet it profiles. WIRED’s 2006 story discussed Exotic Coach’s “Learmousine LimoJets” and a planned service, while News F1 credits the LimoJet project concept to Michael Kashevatsky and Frank DeAngelo and its design to Dan Harris. Those accounts do not establish that the planned service and the later-profiled show vehicle were the same completed vehicle. WIRED; News F1.
Does it actually have jet engines?
No. The reported road powertrain is a V8, automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive on a Chevrolet chassis. Its jet-engine nacelles are not propulsion units: Quatro Rodas says they were adapted to hold speakers and rear LEDs that create an afterburner-like effect. Reports also describe retained aircraft controls repurposed to operate lighting and sound. The dramatic jet appearance is part of the presentation, not how the vehicle moves. Quatro Rodas; Carscoops.

| Passenger capacity | Up to eight passengers, with a driver described separately | Quatro Rodas and Carscoops |
| Length | 12.8 metres | Quatro Rodas, 2019 article updated in 2026 |

| Cabin equipment | LED lighting, a large audio system, television and cameras | Features described across Quatro Rodas and Carscoops; the camera system addresses the lack of a conventional rear-view mirror |
The performance and weight numbers should be read as secondary-source estimates, not verified test specifications. Quatro Rodas also reported that the entrepreneurs behind the project said development took 12 years and cost US$1 million; those are project-history claims reported in its 2019 article, updated in 2026. Quatro Rodas; Carscoops; News F1.
Is the Limo-Jet road legal?
Historical coverage has described it that way, but the claim needs a time and source attached. In an April 10, 2006 story about Exotic Coach’s planned service, WIRED called the converted fuselages “in a street legal fuselage.” Quatro Rodas later said the vehicle could be driven on public roads. Neither statement is an official registration or inspection record, and neither confirms the current status of the specific vehicle. WIRED; Quatro Rodas.

Whether an unusually built vehicle can be registered and operated depends on the relevant jurisdiction and the particular vehicle’s approvals. The available reporting does not identify its current registration, inspection status or where it is authorized to operate. So “road legal” is a historical journalistic description, not a basis for assuming it can be driven legally today in a given location.
What was reported about its price and availability?
These are historical reports, not current listings. Quatro Rodas said the vehicle could be rented for events and gave a per-unit asking price of R$18.5 million. Carscoops reported a US$5 million asking price in February 2019 and said a buyer could pursue a custom Learjet-limo configuration. The figures describe different reports and should not be treated as interchangeable quotes or present-day offers. The available coverage does not establish current ownership, location, sale status or rental availability. Quatro Rodas; Carscoops.
