That makes “Holy Trinity 2.0” a useful comparison hook, but not an official trio or a like-for-like contest. McLaren and Ferrari publish vehicle figures, while Porsche’s concept press kit emphasizes technical ambitions without establishing a final production specification.
How the three cars compare on the published evidence
The figures below come from manufacturer material: McLaren’s current product page (accessed in 2026), Ferrari’s 2024 launch material and technical data, and Porsche’s Mission X concept press kit. They are not independent test results.
| Measure | McLaren W1 | Ferrari F80 | Porsche Mission X |
|---|---|---|---|
| Status in the cited material | Manufacturer-presented hybrid halo car | Manufacturer-presented hybrid halo car | Concept; no final production specification established in the reviewed press kit |
| Powertrain and output | 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid; 1,275 PS (1,258 bhp) and 1,340 Nm (988 lb-ft), as stated by McLaren | Hybrid V6; 1,200 hp combined maximum power, as stated by Ferrari in 2024 | Final production powertrain and output not stated in the reviewed concept press kit |
| Weight | 1,399 kg dry-lightest, as listed by McLaren | 1,525 kg dry, as listed by Ferrari | Settled production weight not stated in the reviewed concept press kit |
| Published performance | McLaren claims 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and a 350 km/h (217 mph) top speed | Comparable acceleration and top-speed figures not established in the cited material | Production-car performance figures not established in the reviewed concept press kit |
| Layout and technical emphasis | Rear-wheel drive; McLaren highlights driver engagement, hybrid power and ground-effect aerodynamics | Ferrari’s launch material presents it as a track-oriented supercar designed for usability | Porsche highlights power-to-weight ratio, downforce and charging performance as areas of technical ambition |
Why the figures do not settle a winner
The power ratings are expressed differently: McLaren publishes PS and bhp, while Ferrari’s launch material gives combined maximum power in hp. Those labels and their stated definitions should stay visible in any comparison; the numbers should not be treated as directly interchangeable without confirming their underlying conventions.
The weight labels differ too. McLaren calls its figure “dry-lightest,” while Ferrari calls its figure “dry.” The cited material does not establish identical measurement rules or configurations, so subtracting one from the other would suggest a precision the sources do not support. McLaren also publishes a 911 PS/tonne power-to-weight ratio and describes it as best-in-class; that remains McLaren’s claim, not an independently verified ranking.

Finally, manufacturer acceleration and top-speed claims are not a head-to-head test. No comparable independent test under shared conditions is established by the cited material, and Porsche’s concept is not a production car against which those results can be benchmarked.
What McLaren is emphasizing with the W1
McLaren describes the W1 as a hybrid system built around its MHP-8 engine, an E-module and F1-derived battery technology. The company pairs that powertrain with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, an integrated E-differential and rear-wheel drive. Its product page also points to an active front splitter and McLaren Active Long Tail as parts of a ground-effect aerodynamic approach. These are McLaren’s descriptions of the car and its technology, rather than independent assessments of how it performs.

What Ferrari has established about the F80
Ferrari’s 2024 launch material identifies an 800 V hybrid V6 architecture and states 1,200 hp of combined maximum power. Its official technical data lists a dry weight of 1,525 kg. The material cited here does not establish comparable acceleration or top-speed figures, so those should not be inferred from the power rating or filled in from another car’s results.
What the Mission X comparison can—and cannot—say
Porsche’s press kit calls the Mission X a “spectacular reinterpretation of a hypercar” and presents it as a concept or vision. Its stated areas of interest—power-to-weight ratio, downforce and charging performance—show what Porsche wants the concept to explore, not a confirmed production specification. The reviewed kit does not provide a final production powertrain, output, weight or performance table, and concept details should not be assumed to carry over unchanged to any future car.

So, is this really “Holy Trinity 2.0”?
It works as an editorial shorthand for three high-profile hypercar stories, but it can mislead if it implies three production cars with settled, comparable specifications. The W1 and F80 can be compared through their manufacturers’ published figures, with the qualifications above; Mission X belongs in the discussion as Porsche’s concept vision. Until comparable independent testing and a settled production specification exist, the strongest conclusion is about the different status and stated priorities of the cars—not which one is fastest or best.
