Which models were in the 2020 launch?

The 2020 launch report described the tractors as open-station models and said the lineup used Iseki diesel engines and four-wheel drive. It also mentioned cast-steel rear ends and front axles, and attachments intended for livestock producers, property owners and hobby farms. What changed between the series?
Horsepower range
The 1800E models occupy the three lower published ratings, from 24.0 to 39.4 hp. The 2800E starts at 48.8 hp and reaches 57.3 hp in the brochure. That makes model rating a useful first filter, but horsepower alone does not establish suitability for a particular implement or job.

Hitch and lifting capacity
The launch coverage distinguished the 1800E’s Category I rear three-point hitch from the 2800E’s Category I/II hitch, and reported lift capacity of up to 2,425 pounds for the larger series. Treat that maximum as a launch-era series claim, not a rating that automatically applies to every configuration. Confirm the specific tractor’s hitch, lift rating and implement match before buying or operating equipment.
Transmission and work pattern
At launch, Agriculture.com reported an 8F×8R Synchro Shuttle transmission as standard and a three-range hydrostatic transmission as an option. Its coverage characterized the gear transmission as suitable for work at consistent speeds, such as mowing or rotary tilling, and noted that shuttle direction changes can help with loader work. Which option is available and appropriate depends on the actual model and market.

What did the launch report say about price and warranty?
Agriculture.com reported a $15,991 starting MSRP for the 1825E base model in 2020, along with preorder availability and a limited five-year powertrain warranty. These are historical launch terms, not current pricing, inventory or warranty coverage. The report also attributed a claim of up to 18% more hydraulic capacity over previous machines to the new series; it did not detail the comparison baseline or describe an independent test. Are the same models still current?
Not necessarily. AGCO announced a new Massey Ferguson compact lineup on February 12, 2025, while Massey Ferguson Australia’s product page lists 1800 E and 2800 E products with maximum horsepower values of 40 and 57. That regional page does not establish U.S. availability, dealer stock, or whether every model and specification from the 2020 launch remains current. What to confirm before choosing one
- Ask a dealer in your market which model years and configurations are currently offered; a past preorder report or a product page for another country is not proof of local stock.
- Verify the exact engine rating, transmission, hitch category and lift capacity for the individual tractor.
- Check implement and attachment compatibility against the tractor’s hitch and loader configuration rather than relying on series-level descriptions.
- Get current price, warranty terms and availability in writing; the 2020 MSRP and warranty report do not establish today’s terms.
In 2020, AGCO tactical marketing manager Jeffrey Ratliff described the E Series as “powerful, easy to operate, and offer a down-to-earth price that will appeal to budget-minded customers.” That is the manufacturer representative’s characterization, not an independent evaluation.
