Later reports describe different point counts and Ramadan-only hours. Call helpline 1313 to confirm that a centre is operating, its current hours, and whether it can handle your vehicle and request before travelling.
Reported M-Tag registration centres in Islamabad
The following 15 locations appeared in a January 3, 2026 ProPakistani report attributed to One Network. Treat them as a dated roster rather than confirmation that each point is currently open.

- 26 Number Stop
- Gulberg Greens
- Metro Cash & Carry (I-11)
- ETO (H-9)
- Gol Market (F-7)
- Parade Ground

- Police Check Post (G-14)
The same report mentioned four mobile registration units. They are a separate, rotating service—not four additional fixed centres—so call 1313 to ask where a unit is currently operating and when.
Why centre counts and hours differ between reports
Reports document changes over time, not one consistent, current directory. ICT Administration updates in November 2025 referred to 7 newly added points and later 10 service locations. The January 2026 report listed 15. An APP report on March 2, 2026 described 13 service points with Ramadan arrangements. Differences may reflect changing phases or coverage; they do not establish which locations are open now.

November 2025 locations and schedules
An APP report on November 18, 2025 said seven points had been added: Kachnar Park (I-8), Islamabad Club, Lake View Park, F-9 Park, Tarlai, Gulberg Greens, and 26 Number Chungi. It reported 9 a.m.–9 p.m. service at those points and 3 p.m.–9 p.m. at the H-9 Excise office. On November 20, APP listed 10 locations—Excise and Taxation Office, F-9 Park, Kachnar Park (I-8), Gol Market (F-7), Metro Cash & Carry (I-11), Lake View Park, Islamabad Club, Gulberg Green, 26 Number Chungi, and Tarlai CFC—and reported daily 9 a.m.–9 p.m. hours. These are historical schedules, not hours to rely on for a visit now.
March 2026 Ramadan service points
On March 2, 2026, APP described four 24-hour Ramadan points: 26 Number Chungi, F-9 Park, Faizabad, and Phulgran. It listed nine other points for 12-hour service: Rawat Check Post, G-14 Check Post, 9th Avenue I-9, Wheat Godown Naka, Daman-e-Koh, Murree Road near Tulip Naka, Gulberg Greens, Millpur, and Margalla Avenue Check Post. Those hours were Ramadan-specific and should not be treated as the October 2026 schedule.

What to take and check before going
APP’s March 2026 update specified ownership documents, a valid national identity card, a registered mobile number, and an official Excise number plate. It said vehicles without department-issued plates would not be eligible for installation. An earlier November 2025 announcement advised bringing a CNIC, vehicle registration book, and phone number. Because these reports are dated, confirm the current document checklist and vehicle eligibility before setting out.
- Call 1313 to check the selected centre’s current operation and opening hours.
- Ask whether that location handles your vehicle type and the service you need; current coverage by vehicle type was not established in the cited reports.
- Confirm the required ownership or registration documents, identity document, and phone-number requirements.
- Ask whether your vehicle’s number plate meets the current Excise requirement.
- If you are relying on a mobile unit, confirm its location and timing separately; it may rotate.
What the available updates establish
The CDA said on November 28, 2025 that 10 points had been established, that the number of counters was being increased, and that the M-Tag system would be integrated with the Islamabad Safe City Project. It reported more than 35,000 tagged vehicles at that time; that figure is a dated 2025 update, not a current total. A current October 2026 centre roster, schedule, and fee could not be confirmed from the available updates.
