How many vehicles did Lucid produce and deliver in 2025?
Lucid’s January 5, 2026 preliminary announcement counted 18,378 vehicles produced in 2025, 104% more than in 2024. In its February 24, 2026 full-year results, the company revised that figure to 17,840. Lucid attributed the 538-vehicle reduction to unfinished internal final-validation procedures needed to classify those vehicles as produced, and said it expected them to complete validation in 2026. Lucid reported 15,841 deliveries for the year, up 55% from 2024. Production counts vehicles made under the company’s reporting criteria; deliveries count vehicles delivered to customers. The totals therefore answer different questions and should not be substituted for one another. Lucid’s February results.

The same revision affected fourth-quarter production: Lucid’s January preliminary report gave 8,412 vehicles, while its February results reported 7,874. In both cases, the company attributed the change to the timing of internal production classification. January announcement; February results.

Did Lucid really double production?
“Doubled” describes Lucid’s preliminary year-over-year comparison: the January announcement said 18,378 vehicles represented 104% growth over 2024. The final 2025 production count was lower, at 17,840. Lucid’s February results did not provide a revised year-over-year percentage alongside that revised count, so the preliminary 104% rate should not be presented as the final reported growth rate.
What was Lucid’s outlook for the Gravity ramp?
In its August 5, 2025 second-quarter release, Lucid forecast 18,000–20,000 vehicles of production for the full year and said it expected to ramp Gravity production in the second half. The later revised total of 17,840 fell just below that stated range. The August figure was an outlook, not a production result, and the company’s ramp expectation does not show by itself how smoothly production proceeded. Lucid’s August 2025 outlook.

What problems were reported with the Gravity SUV?
TechCrunch reported that Lucid particularly struggled in early 2025 as it began ramping Gravity production, citing quality issues. In a December customer email quoted by the outlet, interim CEO Marc Winterhoff acknowledged software problems affecting customer experience and satisfaction: “Lingering software problems have unfortunately affected our customers’ experience and satisfaction. I would like to assure you that we are laser focused on addressing these issues.” TechCrunch’s January 5, 2026 report.
That account does not establish a complete list of defects, how many vehicles or customers were affected, or a quantified effect on production. The quoted statement identifies software problems but should not be read as a claim that every Gravity had the same issue. The available reporting also does not establish a recall.
