Lucid Q3 2026 deliveries and production
For the quarter ended September 30, Lucid Group reported 3,806 deliveries and production of 2,954 vehicles. Deliveries exceeded production by 852 vehicles, a gap consistent with the company drawing down inventory. The totals are operating figures; they do not by themselves show revenue, orders or demand for any particular model.

What the 7% and 38% declines compare
Deliveries: down about 7% year over year
Lucid’s 3,806 Q3 deliveries compare with 4,078 in Q3 2025, a decrease of about 6.7%, rounded to 7%. Against Q2 2026’s 3,953 deliveries, the decline is about 3.7%, or roughly 4%. These are distinct comparisons, so the 7% headline should not be read as a quarter-over-quarter change.

Production: down about 38% quarter over quarter
The production decline is measured against Q2 2026: 2,954 vehicles in Q3 versus 4,774 in Q2, about 38.1% fewer. It is a sequential reduction, not the year-over-year delivery decline.
A raw comparison with Q3 2025’s reported production of 3,891 would imply a drop of about 24%, but that is not a clean like-for-like comparison. Electrek reports that the 2025 figure excluded more than 1,000 vehicles shipped to Saudi Arabia for final assembly, while the 2026 figure counts vehicles leaving Lucid’s Arizona factory. Electrek says a like-for-like comparison would show a larger decline of roughly 40%, but does not give a precise adjusted figure. See its report on Lucid’s Q3 production.
Why Lucid reduced production
Lucid said in its August Q2 release that it was deliberately moderating production to better match anticipated deliveries, reduce inventory and preserve cash. The Q3 gap—852 more deliveries than vehicles produced—is consistent with that inventory-focused approach, though it does not quantify how much inventory remained or how much cash the drawdown generated.
The company described the effort as part of an operating reset focused on cash and cost, customers and quality, and culture and team. It identified $1.4 billion in potential cash-flow improvement opportunities for 2026, including company-estimated amounts of $600 million to $800 million tied to inventory, about $500 million in capital expenditure reductions and roughly $200 million in operating expenses. These are company-identified opportunities and estimates, not evidence that the savings were realized in Q3.

In the August release, CEO Silvio Napoli said: “Lucid has leading technology, compelling products and deeply committed people, but potential is not performance.” The statement is context for the company’s reset, not a specific explanation of Q3 results.

- Model-level deliveries: Lucid said Gravity demand “continued to regain momentum,” but the Q3 announcement did not provide delivery counts by model. The statement is qualitative and is not a measurable demand figure.
- Financial results: The operating update does not establish Q3 revenue, net loss, liquidity or the amount of cost and cash-flow improvements already achieved. Lucid scheduled its Q3 earnings event for November 9, 2026; those financial questions require the subsequent earnings release.
- Drivers of the delivery total: The reported totals do not break down demand by model or explain how much of the quarter’s deliveries came from earlier production.
Lucid’s Q2 release also described production-validation Gravity vehicles being delivered to Nuro, with testing by Uber and Nuro underway in the San Francisco Bay Area and Houston. It said the Saudi AMP-2 factory was moving from construction toward industrialization and that the Midsize program was progressing through validation. Those updates provide company context, but do not establish what drove Q3 deliveries.
