Longest-Range Electric SUVs and Crossovers for 2026: What the Published Figures Show

Cadillac advertises the highest maximum in this comparison, but its Escalade IQ figure is a manufacturer estimate. See published range spans and trim-specific caveats for other electric SUVs.

The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ has the highest advertised figure in the sources compared here: Cadillac estimates up to 465 miles on a full charge. That is a manufacturer estimate, not an EPA figure shown in the available ranking. The Escalade IQL is advertised at up to 460 miles, also a Cadillac estimate. Among the models with range spans listed by Car and Driver, the Lucid Gravity leads at 337–450 miles. Because the figures do not all share the same source basis—and the available material does not establish a verified, ordered top ten—this is a comparison shortlist, not a definitive ten-place ranking.

Which electric SUV has the longest range?

By the highest published maximum in the available U.S.-market sources, it is the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ, which Cadillac estimates can travel up to 465 miles on a full charge. Cadillac’s page identifies that figure as its estimate; Car and Driver’s ranking table does not display an EPA figure for the IQ. The 2026 Escalade IQL follows with a Cadillac-estimated maximum of 460 miles.

Those Cadillac figures should not be treated as EPA ratings or directly equated with independently verified EPA figures. Car and Driver says its list uses official EPA estimates and manufacturer estimates where applicable, and its rankings show broad spans for several models because range depends on configuration. The comparison below preserves those distinctions rather than claiming a fully verified top ten.

Published range figures for electric SUVs and crossovers

These are source-supported candidates for a 2026 U.S. shopping comparison, not ten individually ranked vehicles. Car and Driver combines the Escalade IQ and IQL in its Cadillac entry, and its displayed Cadillac row has no range number. Its Polestar 3 entry is labeled 2025, so confirm the model year of any vehicle being considered.

What is the longest-range electric SUV in 2026?

If “longest range” means the largest manufacturer-published maximum among the figures here, the answer is the Escalade IQ at up to 465 miles. If you want to compare figures presented as EPA estimates, check the exact trim on the manufacturer’s current U.S. listing and the applicable EPA information; the sources here do not establish a single verified EPA-ranked winner across all ten candidates.

A Germany-market Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV page lists 698 km for the EQS 450+. That figure uses a different market and test-cycle basis from U.S. EPA estimates, so it is not included in the U.S. comparison. Mercedes-Benz Germany

Does the trim level change an electric SUV’s range?

Yes. The published spans show that the same model name can cover meaningfully different range figures. Battery, drivetrain, wheels, and trim configuration can affect the rated result, so use the number for the exact version you intend to buy—not the model’s best-case maximum as a promise for every trim.

  • The Lucid Gravity span is 337–450 miles, while the Rivian R1S span is 258–410 miles in Car and Driver’s ranking.
  • Hyundai lists different IONIQ 9 figures by trim: 335 miles for S, 320 for SE and SEL, and 311 for Limited, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy Design.
  • Chevrolet lists up to 312 miles for the Blazer EV FWD LT and RS, compared with 302 miles for SS.

When comparing vehicles, match trim, drivetrain, wheel choice, and estimate basis. A best-case figure from one model is not an apples-to-apples comparison with another model’s lower-range configuration.

How far can an electric SUV go on one charge?

For the models in this comparison, published figures range from 258 miles at the low end of the R1S span to Cadillac’s manufacturer-estimated maximum of 465 miles for the Escalade IQ. These are advertised full-charge figures, not a guarantee of the distance a driver will cover on every trip. The number to use for a purchase decision is the published figure for the specific trim and configuration, with its estimate source identified.

For context, Car and Driver says its SUV list spans different size segments and that the listed vehicles deliver more than 300 miles according to the EPA or manufacturer estimates used for that list. A large, high-range SUV may not suit a buyer who prioritizes a smaller vehicle; the IQL, for example, is a full-size model with third-row space and cargo capacity described on Cadillac’s page.

How much range does an electric SUV add when fast charging?

Cadillac says the Escalade IQ can add up to 117 miles in about 10 minutes when using public DC fast charging. This is a Cadillac-specific claim, not a general charging benchmark or a guarantee for every charging stop. Actual added range depends on charging conditions and the vehicle’s state of charge. Cadillac separately lists Level 2 AC charging rates; AC charging and public DC fast charging are different charging methods, not interchangeable measures of range added per ten minutes. How to use range figures when choosing a model

  1. Start with the estimate basis. Prefer U.S. EPA range when you can confirm it for the exact trim. Keep manufacturer estimates labeled as such, and do not directly compare them with figures from a different market or test cycle.
  2. Identify the exact configuration. Check the trim, drivetrain, battery, and wheel choice on the current U.S. manufacturer listing; use that version’s stated range.
  3. Weigh size and utility against the maximum. Compare passenger and cargo needs with the vehicle’s size. The highest advertised number may come from a much larger vehicle than your daily use calls for.
  4. Consider charging capability separately. A quick-charge claim describes a charging scenario, not full-charge range. Look at the charging method and conditions as well as the vehicle’s range figure.
  5. Confirm current availability and pricing directly. Model-year configurations, inventory, prices, and incentives can change; check the manufacturer or dealer for the version currently offered in your area.
