The Nevera’s power figure depends on configuration. Rimac’s official page gives 1.4 MW / 1,914 hp for one configuration and 1.55 MW / 2,107 hp for another. How do you calculate power-to-weight ratio?
Divide a vehicle’s weight by its horsepower to get pounds per horsepower (lb/hp), or divide horsepower by its weight in tonnes to get horsepower per tonne (hp/tonne). The units reverse which direction is favorable: a lower lb/hp or a higher hp/tonne means more rated power for the stated mass.

For example, iSeeCars lists the Lucid Air at 5,336 lb curb weight and 1,234 hp. Dividing 5,336 by 1,234 gives approximately 4.3 lb/hp, matching its published ratio. Use the same weight basis and power rating when comparing cars; mixing curb weight with a different mass measure, or using ratings from different trims, can change the result.

They may include different kinds of cars
A hypercar-inclusive leaderboard can place the Nevera at the top, while a consumer-market-oriented performance-EV ranking begins with the Lucid Air. Those are answers to different versions of “best”: one includes limited-production hypercars, while the other follows iSeeCars’ own performance-EV selection and ranking.

Trim and configuration matter
A model name alone may cover versions with different power and mass. That is especially clear with the Nevera’s two official power configurations. A defensible comparison should identify model year and trim, use a stated horsepower rating and curb weight, and calculate the ratio from those matched figures.
The two common units are not interchangeable as written
iSeeCars reports lb/hp, where smaller values are better; Open Car Index reports hp/tonne, where larger values are better. They express reciprocal forms of a power-to-mass comparison, but rankings should not be merged without standardizing the underlying vehicle set, specifications, units, and method.

Does a high power-to-weight ratio mean an EV is the best performer?
No. The ratio is one useful comparison of rated power against mass, not a complete measure of acceleration, handling, braking, traction, range, or everyday usability. It also does not account by itself for how power is delivered or for real-world conditions. Use the ratio to narrow a comparison, then consider the specific driving qualities and ownership factors that matter to you. A single headline figure cannot settle which car is best overall.
