No—the S2 Alpinista is not LiveWire’s cheapest S2 motorcycle. LiveWire currently lists it at $12,999 in the U.S., while the S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland are each listed at $11,999. The Alpinista launched on January 15, 2025, with a $15,999 MSRP, so its current listed price is lower than its launch MSRP. Prices and specifications below reflect LiveWire’s U.S. information reviewed October 8, 2026.
How much does the LiveWire S2 Alpinista cost?
LiveWire’s current U.S. pricing page lists these starting prices for its S2 motorcycles:
| Model | Current U.S. starting price |
|---|---|
| S2 Alpinista | $12,999 |
| S2 Mulholland | $11,999 |
| S2 Del Mar | $11,999 |
These are LiveWire-listed starting prices, not dealer quotes; the pricing page does not state a publication date. LiveWire’s January 15, 2025 launch announcement gave the Alpinista a $15,999 U.S. MSRP. That launch MSRP excluded taxes, title, registration, destination and other charges, and the company said retailer prices could vary. Get a written out-the-door quote and confirm local stock before comparing offers.
LiveWire announced reduced MSRPs across the S2 lineup on March 3, 2026. The same release forecast new S2 inventory arriving at European dealerships beginning in April 2026; that forecast does not confirm present-day European availability. The current prices above are specifically LiveWire’s U.S. listings, not a claim about pricing in other markets.

What kind of motorcycle is the Alpinista?
LiveWire introduced the Alpinista as the S2 platform’s third model and its first sport standard. The company describes its 17-inch wheels and tires as suited to street, sport and hyper-tourer characteristics, and positions it as more street-oriented than the S2 Del Mar. Its lower seat and street-focused setup are intended to suit commuting as well as spirited road riding. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent riding assessments.
LiveWire’s current U.S. product page lists a 29.5-inch laden seat height and a 31.18-inch unladen seat height. The distinction matters when assessing reach to the ground: compare the laden figure with your own experience on a motorcycle, and if possible sit on the bike before buying.

What are the Alpinista’s range, performance and charging specifications?

| Battery | 10.5 kWh |
| Power and torque | 84 hp / 63 kW; 194 lb-ft |
| Top speed and acceleration | 99 mph top speed; 0–60 mph in 3 seconds |

| Level 2 charging | 20–80% in 78 minutes; 0–100% in 142 minutes |
| Level 1 charging | 20–80% in 5.9 hours; 0–100% in 8.4 hours |

LiveWire says its range estimates use SAE J2982 Riding Range Test Procedure data from a sample motorcycle under ideal laboratory conditions. The company cautions that real range varies with rider behavior, roads and riding conditions, weather, vehicle condition and maintenance, tire pressure, configuration, cargo, and rider or passenger load. Treat the 71-mile sustained-55-mph figure as a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed highway distance. Charging time also depends on charger output and ambient or vehicle temperature.

- 【PRE-PURCHASE REMINDER】This product for LiveWire ONE S2 Del Mar S2 Mulholland S2 Alpinista 2021–2026. Please check the size of this product before placing your order to ensure it meets your requirements, so as to avoid affecting your shopping experience due to size issues.
- 【STAY FOCUSED WITH A MORE STABLE HOLD】A phone mount should keep your screen where you expect it—not constantly shake, shift, or require readjustment. The upgraded dual-rod base creates a more secure mounting structure, helping keep your smartphone steady while you navigate, check directions, or stay connected on the move.
- 【ADJUST THE FIT TO YOUR PHONE】The adjustable holder gives you room to fine-tune the grip for different smartphone sizes. With an adjustable width of up to 100 mm / 3.94 in and an inner width of approximately 50 mm / 1.97 in, the design provides flexible positioning without forcing your phone into a fixed-size cradle.
- 【CUSHIONED CONTACT FOR EVERYDAY PROTECTION】Built-in cushioning creates a softer contact point between the mount and your device. Instead of relying entirely on hard surfaces, the padded grip helps reduce direct contact and vibration while keeping your phone securely positioned during regular use.
- 【KEEP ESSENTIAL PORTS WITHIN REACH】A smart mount should not make your phone harder to use. The open-sided design leaves important areas accessible, allowing convenient access to buttons, speakers, headphones, charging connections, and calls while the device remains mounted.
For a commute or regular route, compare the relevant range figure with your actual speeds and charging opportunities rather than relying on the city estimate alone. For charging, check that the J1772 Type 1 connector and available charging equipment work with your planned setup.
What equipment and rider aids does it list?
