Depreciation can make a used Lexus LC 500 less expensive to buy than a new one, but it does not automatically make the car affordable for every buyer. Current estimates vary with model year, mileage, condition, options and whether you are trading in, buying privately or looking at a dealer’s asking price. Use them as valuation guides—not guaranteed sale prices—and budget for the full cost of ownership.
How much does a Lexus LC 500 depreciate?
There is no single depreciation figure that applies to every LC 500. The available estimates cover different model years and use different assumptions, so they should be read separately rather than averaged. CarEdge’s calculator estimates a five-year resale value of $74,628 after 29% depreciation, based on an initial selling price of $105,600, good condition and 13,500 miles per year. CarEdge describes the calculator as illustrative; the result is a forecast, not a record of completed sales. CarEdge’s LC 500 depreciation estimate
Kelley Blue Book estimates total five-year depreciation of $57,154 for a 2025 Lexus LC, or about $11,430 per year, with figures current as of September 2026. KBB notes that depreciation is typically steepest in the first two to three years and then tapers, but that general pattern does not predict the value of every LC 500 configuration. These figures are not contradictory sale records: they refer to different model years and calculator inputs. Neither establishes what a particular car will sell for in your area.

What is a 2022 Lexus LC 500 worth?
Edmunds’ appraisal page gives a current used-value range of $51,455 to $66,417 for a 2022 LC 500, depending on condition, mileage and options. For its example of a clean, no-option car driven roughly 12,000 miles per year, Edmunds estimates about $59,128 as a trade-in and $61,178 in a private-party sale. These are distinct transaction channels, not dealer asking prices or guaranteed offers. Edmunds’ 2022 Lexus LC 500 appraisal
The gap between the example’s trade-in and private-party estimates illustrates why the question “How much is an LC worth?” needs more detail. A buyer’s offer, a seller’s asking price, a trade-in appraisal and a private-party estimate are not interchangeable.

How does that compare with a new LC 500?
Lexus USA announced a starting MSRP of $101,800 for the 2026 LC 500, including delivery, processing and handling, in a July 18, 2025 announcement. That is a manufacturer list-price reference for the 2026 model, not the original sticker price of every used LC or evidence of what a dealer currently charges. Lexus USA’s 2026 LC 500 pricing announcement
A used LC 500 may therefore have a substantially lower purchase price than a new-model MSRP, but comparing those numbers alone does not establish a bargain. The used car’s year, equipment, condition and history—and the local market—must match the comparison.

How to compare LC 500 values fairly
- Match the vehicle. Compare the same model year and trim, and distinguish the LC 500 from the LC 500h. Check whether each car is a coupe or convertible.
- Match its specification and condition. Account for mileage, options, accident history, service records and overall condition. A calculator or appraisal can shift when these details change.
- Match the transaction type. Keep trade-in estimates separate from private-party values, dealer retail values and advertised asking prices. A listing shows what a seller is asking, not the completed transaction price.
- Check local examples. Compare several nearby listings with similar year, body style, equipment, mileage and history. Ask for an appraisal based on the specific vehicle rather than relying on a generic figure.
When does depreciation make an LC 500 affordable?
Depreciation can lower the amount needed to buy an older example, but affordability depends on the buyer’s complete budget. Include financing, insurance, fuel, maintenance and taxes alongside the purchase price, and consider the condition and service history of the individual car. The valuation estimates above do not determine those costs or establish affordability for a particular buyer.
