The manufacturer says it can seat and sleep up to four, but buyers should check the actual floorplan, vehicle ratings and options on the specific build.
What the Unity TBX layout is designed to do
Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) positions the TBX as a twin-bed Unity floorplan that separates daytime living from the sleeping area. The front lounge and dining space provides a place to sit and eat, while the rear has two twin beds and a three-piece dry bathroom. LTV describes the layout as sleeping up to four and lists four forward-facing travel seats with shoulder belts. Those are manufacturer descriptions; inspect the actual seating and sleeping arrangements to determine whether they suit your passengers and travel plans. The garage is the TBX’s distinctive feature
LTV calls the exterior storage space a “dedicated pass-through gear garage” and markets it for items including bikes, kayaks and surfboards. The manufacturer lists a waterproof floor, interior lighting, and 120-volt and 12-volt charging outlets. The available product information does not state the garage’s dimensions, anchor locations or tie-down ratings. Before loading bulky or heavy gear, ask the dealer for those details and confirm the vehicle’s cargo limits. General cargo tie-down straps may be useful, but the appropriate type depends on the actual anchors, cargo and ratings; compatibility of any particular strap is not established here. Chassis, dimensions and published ratings
The current LTV Unity specification page lists a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 dual-rear-wheel chassis, a 170-inch wheelbase and an overall length of 25 feet 1 inch for Unity floorplans, including TBX. Its listed powertrain is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel rated at 208 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The page lists a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 11,030 pounds. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements; exact chassis model year and equipment can vary. LTV’s Unity specifications identifies its chassis basis and equipment.

LTV states a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds and a 40-US-gallon fresh-water capacity for the TBX. Treat the tow figure as a manufacturer-published maximum, not a guarantee that every loaded TBX can tow that amount: the capacity that applies to a particular vehicle depends on its ratings, installed equipment and loaded condition. The cited product information does not provide a buyer-specific payload calculation or independent towing test. Confirm the vehicle’s documentation and ratings before towing. The TBX overview lists these figures.
AWD is an available configuration, not a standard TBX feature
LTV lists all-wheel drive as an option for the TBX, rather than standard equipment on every example. Its 2027 update says AWD is available on the TBX, Rear Lounge and Twin Bed configurations. The Unity chassis page says its specifications are based on the 2026 model-year Sprinter and cautions that supply constraints can affect listed chassis features. A motorhome model year and its chassis model year need not match, so check both on the paperwork for the vehicle you are considering. Standard equipment and options can change the ownership picture
The Unity specification page lists a 270-Ah, 12-volt smart lithium coach battery with internal heating, a 3,000-watt pure sine-wave inverter, and a Truma Aventa Eco 13,500-BTU ducted air conditioner with soft start and heat pump. For the TBX, it also lists a Truma VarioHeat furnace, Truma AquaGo Comfort Plus water heater, induction cooktop, compressor refrigerator and multiplex controls. Check the order sheet for the specific coach: promotional images or descriptions do not establish that every pictured item is included in a particular build. The Unity specifications page distinguishes listed equipment from options.
Power, comfort and chassis options to check
LTV lists an additional 270-Ah battery, 440-watt solar system, 4.0-kW LP generator, four-point leveling jacks and AWD chassis among the available options. Separately, the TBX overview markets up to 540 Ah of lithium coach-battery capacity and identifies the 440-watt rigid solar system as optional. The 540-Ah figure describes the capacity available with the additional battery, not a universal standard configuration. Verify which batteries and other options are installed on the vehicle, and use its build sheet rather than assuming the maximum-capacity setup. Unity specifications and the TBX overview list these configurations.

Battery capacity and solar availability are relevant to planning, but the published figures do not establish how long a particular TBX will run appliances off-grid. Actual use depends on installed equipment, conditions and consumption; the cited pages provide no independent endurance test. LTV uses the phrase “extended off-grid exploration” as promotional language, not a tested duration or performance guarantee. Match the installed electrical equipment to your intended use and ask for the vehicle-specific configuration.
How to compare TBX floorplans and builds
Compare a TBX with another Unity layout by asking how you will use its twin beds, front living area, dry bathroom and gear garage. The garage matters most when the equipment you carry fits its verified dimensions and can be secured within the vehicle’s limits. For TBX-to-TBX comparisons, use the actual build sheets rather than assuming two vehicles with the same floorplan have identical equipment.

- Drivetrain: confirm whether the specific vehicle is 2WD or has optional AWD.
- Electrical equipment: verify battery capacity, solar installation and whether an LP generator is fitted.
- Convenience options: check for four-point leveling jacks and other selected equipment.
- Vehicle-specific limits: confirm ratings, cargo capacity and towing guidance for the completed, optioned vehicle.
- Model years and documentation: identify both the coach and chassis model years and request the associated records.

LTV’s Unity specifications list Mercedes-Benz basic limited coverage of 3 years or 36,000 miles, Mercedes-Benz engine powertrain limited coverage of 5 years or 100,000 miles, and Triple E RV limited coverage of 2 years or 24,000 miles. These are headline durations and distances, not a complete account of exclusions, coverage start dates or transfer rules. What to verify before buying
- Match the floorplan to your needs. Review the TBX floorplan and confirm the sleeping, seating and bathroom arrangements in the actual vehicle.
- Inspect the garage and cargo details. Ask for dimensions, restraint-anchor information and applicable load limits before planning to carry bikes, watercraft or other large gear.
- Read the vehicle-specific ratings. Check the chassis and coach documentation for the applicable GVWR, cargo and towing limits; do not treat the published maximum tow capacity as a loaded-vehicle calculation.
- Confirm the configuration in writing. Verify drivetrain, battery capacity, solar, generator, leveling system and other options on the build sheet.
- Check model years and warranties. Confirm the coach and chassis model years separately, then obtain the warranty documents and operating information for that vehicle. For chassis documentation, Mercedes-Benz provides an official manual portal; LTV lists coach support resources.
