The manual describes a half-twist throttle and five pedal-assist levels. It says pedal assistance stops at the maximum speed configured for the bike, up to 28 mph. That specification alone does not determine the bike’s legal classification; rules depend on the bike’s configuration and the jurisdiction where it is used.
How does the XPremium folding mechanism work?
The manufacturer’s manual shows the bike folding at three points: the frame, stem, and pedals. Follow the sequence and latch directions in the model manual rather than treating the folding process as a generic hinge routine. Before riding, Lectric specifically instructs owners to confirm that both the frame latch and stem latch are locked.

How far can the Lectric XPremium go on one battery?
The manual includes separate range-estimate material for one-battery and two-battery configurations, with estimates varying by throttle use and pedal-assist level. Those figures are estimates, not a guaranteed distance for a particular ride. Terrain and riding conditions affect how far the bike can travel, and the manual recommends checking range on varied terrain before attempting a longer or more demanding trip.

Because the manual’s estimates depend on those specific battery and assistance assumptions, a single number without its matching table conditions would be misleading. Use the manual’s table for the configuration you have, then treat the result as a planning reference rather than a promise.
What maintenance does the XPremium drivetrain need?
Lectric warns that mid-drive e-bikes can wear chains faster than hub-drive and non-electric bikes. Its manual gives a specific inspection interval: “Check your chain for wear every 200 miles with a chain checker tool and replace as necessary.” This is the manufacturer’s maintenance instruction, not a claim about how long every chain will last.

Before each ride, the manual also advises checking the brakes and tire pressure. For other service intervals and procedures, use the XPremium manual rather than assuming that generic e-bike guidance applies to every component.
What should owners know about XPremium batteries?
The manual says to use Lectric-approved battery packs and follow its charging and storage instructions. When riding with only the primary battery, cover the auxiliary battery mount: the manual warns that exposed terminals can short if they get wet. It directs owners to Lectric for replacement batteries, but the available information does not establish current XPremium battery stock or compatibility for any particular replacement. Confirm the exact pack with Lectric before purchasing; do not assume a generic battery will fit or be safe.

Is the Lectric XPremium still available?
Current XPremium sales availability is not established here. The 2022 manual is a useful technical reference for the model, but it is not evidence that new bikes or replacement parts are currently in stock. Lectric’s current XP4 listing calls the XP4 the latest iteration of the XP line. That is model-lineage context only: it does not establish that the XPremium has been discontinued, nor does it make XP4 specifications applicable to the XPremium.
The 2022 manual states a one-year warranty from purchase for the original registered purchaser. That is historical manual language, not confirmation of coverage for a bike being considered now. Anyone comparing folding e-bikes should verify equivalent details for each model: drive type, battery configuration and range assumptions, folded dimensions and carry weight, gearing and chain maintenance, latch checks, and support for model-specific replacement parts. No directly comparable model, folded dimensions, or carry weight is established by the cited XPremium information, so those points cannot support a head-to-head verdict.
