In Peter Nelson’s June 2025 drive, electric torque sharpened launches and low-speed response while the V12 supplied the high-rev drama; he also praised the steering, cornering and ride. The trade-offs he noticed were substantial road noise and limited headroom in his press car.
What the Revuelto’s hybrid system adds
The car in Peter Nelson’s review is the 2025 base Revuelto. Lamborghini’s 2026 English brochure describes a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, with combined output of 1,015 CV (747 kW). The engine alone is rated at 825 CV at 9,250 rpm. Those are manufacturer specifications, not measurements from Nelson’s drive. Lamborghini’s 2026 Revuelto brochure gives the full specification.
Nelson found that the motors made the car respond immediately at launch, before the V12’s revs built. He praised the engine’s high-rev character and the seamless shifts, describing the electrification as a way to intensify performance rather than replace the combustion-engine experience. He also found EV-only operation useful for quiet starts, reversing and short, low-speed movements. His review reports up to five miles of electric-only range; that is a review-era observation, not a universal range guarantee.
How it drives on the road
Steering and cornering
On twisty roads, Nelson reported responsive steering and strong cornering behavior. He described the steering as having useful weight and communication under cornering, with sharp front-end response and a ratio he considered well suited to high-performance driving. That is his subjective assessment, not an instrumented measurement or a claim that every driver will feel the same way.

Ride and controls
He found the ride good in both damper settings and said the steering and drive-mode controls on the wheel were easy to use. His account suggests a car that can feel composed on the road as well as intense when pushed, though it remains a supercar rather than a comfort-first touring car.
Cabin compromises
Nelson noted significant road noise and limited headroom for his build in the press car. These are observations from one reviewer and one car; fit will vary by driver, and perceived noise depends on road and conditions.

Performance and economy figures: keep the test regimes separate
Lamborghini quotes 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed above 350 km/h for the base Revuelto. Its 2026 brochure lists weighted-combined WLTP consumption of 4.7 kWh/100 km plus 15.0 L/100 km, and 17.9 L/100 km with the battery discharged. These are manufacturer figures for the stated WLTP conditions. Lamborghini’s Revuelto model page also lists the manufacturer’s performance claims.
The Verge review reports 23 MPGe combined and 12 mpg without hybrid assistance. Nelson also said he exceeded 21 MPGe on one 15-mile Los Angeles freeway stretch. That short drive is an individual report, not a standardized test. These US-style figures and the manufacturer’s WLTP figures use different reporting regimes, so they should not be treated as directly comparable. The review’s listed $612,858 price before options applies to its US press-loan car in June 2025, not a current universal price. Read Nelson’s full review in The Verge.

The 2025 base Revuelto is not the Revuelto SV
Lamborghini announced the distinct Revuelto SV in August 2026. Its manufacturer figures are 1,065 CV, 0–100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and a 348 km/h top speed. Those specifications belong to the SV, not the base Revuelto Nelson reviewed; the SV’s higher stated output does not change the figures for the 2025 car. Nelson’s review makes the strongest case for a buyer who wants the immediacy of electric torque and the character of a high-revving V12 in the same car, and who values steering response, cornering and road composure. It is less persuasive as a quiet, spacious daily driver: the reviewer’s road-noise and headroom notes are meaningful practical caveats, even though they reflect his experience rather than a universal fit test.
