Is the KYMCO CV3 575i really the world’s most powerful three-wheeled scooter?
That description should be treated as a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified global ranking. KYMCO USA calls its CV3 the “most powerful twin-cylinder 3-wheel scooter on the market,” while KYMCO Spain compares the CV3 575 with the Peugeot Metropolis 400. Neither source establishes a complete worldwide competitor list or a common test method. The comparison is useful context, but it does not demonstrate that the CV3 is the world’s most powerful three-wheeler.
KYMCO Spain publishes 51.1 CV and 54.4 Nm for the CV3 575, compared with 35.6 CV and 38.1 Nm for the Peugeot Metropolis 400 in its manufacturer comparison. Those figures are from KYMCO, not an independent survey of competing models. KYMCO España’s announcement and KYMCO USA’s product page provide the relevant claims.

European pages describe a 574 cc DOHC, eight-valve inline twin. The UK page lists the same 37.6 kW and 54.4 Nm output given by KYMCO Spain. Some figures published for the US-market CV3 differ, so they should not be combined into one specification sheet.

The CV3 575’s European power is also expressed as 51 PS in some market wording; KYMCO Spain uses 51.1 CV. These are regional renderings of the metric horsepower figure, while the stated kilowatt output is 37.6 kW. The US page’s 550 cc and 51 hp specifications refer to a different market offering and should not be substituted for European 575 figures. How the three-wheel system works
The CV3 uses KYMCO’s KALS leaning front suspension system, designed to let the scooter lean into turns rather than remain upright like a conventional fixed-lean three-wheeler. KYMCO UK states a maximum lean angle of 40 degrees. Its UK specification also lists ABS, a CVT transmission and an electronic anti-leaning or standing-assist system. These are manufacturer descriptions; the published information here does not provide independent handling or braking test results.

The extra front wheel and leaning layout are central to the CV3’s identity, but they do not make it a car or establish any universal safety advantage. How it feels and what licence applies depend on the rider, local law and the specific market version.
Touring and comfort equipment
Depending on market, KYMCO lists features including heated grips, cruise control, an adjustable backrest, keyless operation and under-seat storage. The US page positions the CV3 for both commuting and touring and lists comfort equipment such as heated grips, cruise control and an adjustable backrest. Equipment names and availability can differ between regional versions, so confirm the exact specification with a local dealer before purchase.

KYMCO Spain says the design draws on more than 30 patents. That figure is the manufacturer’s statement about its patent portfolio, not a measure of performance or a third-party assessment.
What does the KYMCO CV3 cost?
There is no single global price. The published examples below refer to different countries, page dates and delivery treatments; they are not like-for-like on-road prices.

That depends on the country and applicable licensing rules. KYMCO Spain’s October 2025 announcement says its L5e three-wheeler is aimed at drivers with a category B car licence who are at least 21 years old. This is a Spain-specific manufacturer statement, not general licensing advice. Check the current rules with the relevant licensing authority where you plan to ride.

What to verify before choosing a CV3
- Market and model year: Confirm whether the listing is the European CV3 575/575i or the US-market CV3; their published engine figures differ.
- Equipment: Check which comfort, storage, braking and standing-assist features are fitted to that exact version.
