1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe KTM 390 Enduro R has the stronger published engine figures and more explicitly adjustable suspension; the Honda CRF300L has a lower published U.S. curb weight and a larger fuel tank. Those differences point to different priorities, not a proven winner. The available specifications cover different model years and markets, and there is no verified equivalent side-by-side ride test here.
How much do they cost in the United States?
The available prices are snapshots for different model years, not a same-year comparison or a dealer quote. KTM’s U.S. page lists the 2026 390 Enduro R at $6,049 base MSRP plus $600 freight. Honda’s U.S. 2025 CRF300L page lists $5,749 base MSRP, a $600 destination charge, and $6,349 total MSRP. The $300 difference in base price compares those two model-year listings; freight or destination, taxes, setup, and inventory can affect what a buyer actually pays.

Engine output: KTM’s published figures are higher
KTM’s 2025 Spain technical page lists a 398.7 cc liquid-cooled single producing 45 PS and 39 Nm, paired with a six-speed transmission. Honda’s 2025 U.S. specifications list a 286 cc liquid-cooled single and a six-speed transmission, but do not give an output figure on that page. These figures come from different regions and year listings, so they establish what each source publishes, not a controlled comparison.

For a same-page comparison, 1000PS’s 2026 comparison lists 45 hp and 39 Nm for the KTM and 27 hp and 27 Nm for the Honda. Those are the publication’s comparison figures, not a manufacturer test result. Its page does not establish equivalent testing conditions, so treat them as context rather than a promise of how the bikes will feel in every riding situation.

Suspension and off-road setup
KTM: more adjustment is specified
KTM lists 43 mm WP APEX forks, 230 mm of travel at both ends, fork compression and rebound adjustment, and rear-shock rebound adjustment with tool-adjusted preload. Its U.S. overview also describes the suspension as adjustable. Those settings give riders more documented options for tailoring the suspension, but the specifications alone do not show which bike handles a particular trail better.
Honda: revised suspension, with less adjustment detail on the page
Honda lists a 43 mm inverted fork with 10.2 inches of travel and Pro-Link rear suspension with 10.2 inches of travel. The manufacturer says it stiffened the springs in response to rider feedback and reworked the internals to make the ride smoother. The reviewed Honda specifications do not establish adjustment options equivalent to KTM’s listed fork and shock settings.

Weight, seat height, clearance, and fuel
The figures below are not fully standardized: Honda gives U.S. curb weight with required fluids and a full tank, while KTM’s Spain page separately gives weight without fuel and full of fuel. Seat height, clearance, and tank capacity are also taken from different regional and model-year pages.

|---|---|---|
| Weight | 311 lb curb weight, including standard equipment, required fluids, and a full tank (Honda U.S. specifications) | 159 kg without fuel; 165 kg full of fuel (KTM España technical specifications) |
| Seat height | 34.7 in (Honda U.S. specifications) | 890 mm (KTM España technical specifications) |
| Ground clearance | 11.2 in (Honda U.S. specifications) | 272 mm (KTM España technical specifications) |
| Fuel capacity | 2.1 US gal (Honda U.S. specifications) | 9 L (KTM España technical specifications) |
The Honda’s listed tank capacity is larger. The weight figures should not be read as a precise, apples-to-apples margin because their published definitions differ. Seat height is worth checking in person: published measurements do not indicate how either bike will fit a particular rider.

Electronics and everyday equipment
KTM’s 2026 U.S. page describes a 4.2-inch TFT display with music, incoming calls, turn-by-turn navigation, and USB-C charging. It also lists Street and Offroad ride modes, standard ABS, Offroad ABS, and a control to disable ABS. KTM describes the ride modes as a way to suit changing conditions; that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent performance finding.
Honda’s 2025 U.S. page lists standard ABS that can be turned off for off-road riding. Its digital display includes a speedometer, tachometer, clock, and tripmeters; USB-C is listed as an accessory rather than standard equipment on the reviewed specifications. The published equipment lists therefore show a broader set of display and ride-mode features for KTM, while both manufacturers describe an off-road ABS option.

Fuel consumption figures are not a range guarantee
1000PS lists combined consumption of 3.4 L/100 km for the KTM and 3.1 L/100 km for the Honda in its 2026 comparison. The opened material does not establish the figures’ test methodology or manufacturer test cycle. They are not enough to calculate a reliable real-world range; terrain, speed, load, and riding style affect fuel use.
Which bike fits your priorities?
- Consider the KTM if its higher published output, listed suspension adjustments, ride modes, and richer display equipment matter most to you. Confirm local specifications and pricing for the model year you are buying.
- Consider the Honda if its lower published U.S. curb-weight figure or larger listed tank capacity better suits your priorities. Keep the different weight conventions in mind when comparing it with KTM’s figures.
- For either bike, factor in your road-to-trail split, rider fit, fuel-stop plans, local price, dealer support, and how much suspension setup you expect to do. Sit on both and arrange a test ride where available.
These are specification-led decision points, not a claim that one is more comfortable, reliable, or capable on trails. 1000PS states that its editors did not test the CRF300L in their comparison, and no equivalent direct ride test is established by the sources cited here. The evidence also does not settle comparative maintenance costs, resale value, or ownership satisfaction.
