The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear is a limited-run, track-focused evolution of the Jesko that Koenigsegg says remains road legal. It combines a small increase in engine output with a claimed 35 kg weight reduction, revised aerodynamics, cooling and chassis changes. The company reports that its initial Gotland Ring shakedown beat the Jesko Attack’s previous lap record by 1.1 seconds; that is a manufacturer-reported result, not an independently verified comparison.
What is the Sadair’s Spear?
Koenigsegg introduced the Sadair’s Spear on June 25, 2025, describing it as a track-focused, road-legal hypercar. Production is limited to 30 cars, and the company said all 30 had sold by the time of the private unveiling. That does not establish present-day resale availability or price.
The name refers to a horse ridden by company founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko, in his final race in 1976. Koenigsegg presents the car as a tribute to his father, whose name was also given to the Jesko.
How much power does it make?
Koenigsegg’s published specifications list a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and a nine-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST). Output depends on fuel: the manufacturer lists 1,300 hp on gasoline and 1,625 hp on E85. It lists 1,000 Nm of torque from 2,700 to 6,170 rpm, with a 1,500 Nm maximum at 5,100 rpm. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

For comparison, Koenigsegg lists the Jesko at 1,280 hp on gasoline and 1,600 hp on E85. The Sadair’s Spear’s stated gains are therefore 20 hp on gasoline and 25 hp on E85. Its performance proposition also relies on weight, aero, cooling, tires, brakes and suspension—not just peak power.
What changed compared with the Jesko Attack?
Lower claimed weight
Koenigsegg says the Sadair’s Spear sheds around 35 kg compared with the Jesko. Its specification page lists 1,385 kg curb weight and 1,320 kg dry weight; those figures describe different conditions and should not be treated as interchangeable. The company’s claimed reduction is not itself an independent weighing result.

Reworked aerodynamics
The design adds a double-blade active rear wing, revised front aerodynamics and underfloor strakes. Koenigsegg’s stated aim is to generate useful downforce at lower speeds while retaining its high-downforce capability. The technical page lists 850 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and a maximum of 1,765 kg “without bleeding,” using the manufacturer’s wording. These are published specifications, not third-party measurements.
Cooling and chassis hardware
Koenigsegg describes revised cooling and improved engine breathing, alongside Triplex dampers and Active Ride Height. The company positions these changes as supporting sustained track use and handling. It also specifies upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes. The available figures do not establish how much any one change contributes to a lap time.

Tires and cabin
The launch description refers to wider, track-oriented tires. The technical specifications identify Michelin Cup2 tires as standard and Cup2R as an option, with tire sizes listed by the manufacturer. Inside, Koenigsegg says it simplified the cabin and controls around track use while retaining road-car equipment. The LST can be operated using steering-wheel paddles. Three-point belts are standard; six-point harnesses are optional and, according to the launch release, available only in select markets.
How fast is the Sadair’s Spear?
Koenigsegg has not published a verified top speed or acceleration time in the sources available here. Its June 25, 2025 launch release reports that an initial shakedown at Gotland Ring was 1.1 seconds faster than the Jesko Attack’s previous lap record. That is a company-reported shakedown result; it is not an independently instrumented head-to-head test or proof that the Sadair’s Spear is faster in every condition or metric.

The result gives context for the car’s track-focused changes, but it should be read alongside the evidence: the power, weight and downforce figures are manufacturer specifications, and the lap comparison is a manufacturer claim. The available sources do not establish an independent lap time.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is it road legal?
Koenigsegg describes the Sadair’s Spear as fully road legal across global markets. That is the manufacturer’s stated position; the sources do not document separate certification or registration rules for every country. Its track-oriented equipment and simplified cabin do not, by themselves, mean the car is a track-only model.
