Koenigsegg’s Regera reclaimed the 0–400–0 km/h record from Rimac’s standard Nevera in June 2023, completing the run in 28.81 seconds—1.12 seconds quicker than the Nevera’s May result. It was a brief handoff, not a record the Regera still holds: Koenigsegg later listed a 27.83-second Jesko Absolut run in 2024, and Rimac announced a 25.79-second Nevera R run in July 2025.
How the Regera took the record back
Rimac announced in May 2023 that its standard Nevera had completed the 0–400–0 km/h test in 29.93 seconds at a German test track. On June 16, Koenigsegg’s Regera posted 28.81 seconds, taking the title back. Koenigsegg said RACELOGIC measured and verified the Regera data.
The comparison is between results from separate runs, not a controlled head-to-head test. The available announcements do not establish that the cars ran under identical protocols or conditions.
What the Regera’s 28.81 seconds includes
The test measures the time to accelerate from a standstill to 400 km/h and then brake back to zero. Koenigsegg’s reported Regera splits were:

The record’s succession after 2023
The Regera’s run fit into a series of increasingly quick manufacturer-reported results. Koenigsegg’s official history lists the Agera RS at 33.29 seconds in 2017 and the Regera at 31.49 seconds in 2019, before the 2023 Nevera and Regera results.

Koenigsegg attributed the improvement from the Regera’s 2019 time to new Michelin Cup2R tires and a smoother track. Those are the manufacturer’s explanations, not independently established findings about what caused the time difference.
Why the Nevera R result matters
Rimac’s July 2025 announcement put the Nevera R at 25.79 seconds for 0–400–0 km/h and said Dewesoft independently verified the run. Rimac also reported 17.35 seconds to reach 400 km/h, 7.89 seconds to reach 300 km/h, and a top speed of 431.45 km/h.

Rimac attributes the Nevera R’s performance to a redesigned aerodynamic package, Michelin Cup 2 tires, and a recalibrated all-wheel torque-vectoring system. The company lists output at 2,107 hp and says production is limited to 40 units worldwide. These specifications and explanations are Rimac’s published claims.
In the announcement, Rimac Group founder and president and Bugatti Rimac CEO Mate Rimac said: “Breaking records is in our DNA, and we won’t stop here.”

What the record comparisons do—and do not—show
The numbers show the progression of announced results, but the cars were not documented in one common test with identical conditions. The useful comparison is therefore each model’s reported elapsed time, date, and stated verification—not a claim that one result establishes a laboratory-style ranking under matched conditions.
