Koenigsegg says it can seat four tall adults, carry four carry-on suitcases and offers 200 L of combined trunk volume. Those are manufacturer claims, not independently verified cabin or luggage tests. Its power figures also depend on which published configuration you mean: Koenigsegg describes both a 1,700 hp three-cylinder setup and a 2,300 hp V8 production specification.
How practical is the Koenigsegg Gemera?
The Gemera is unusual among hypercars because its practicality is built around four actual seats rather than a two-seat cabin with occasional extra space. Koenigsegg calls it its first four-seater and says the cabin accommodates four tall adults. The company also claims room for four carry-on suitcases.
Koenigsegg’s current technical specifications list 200 L of total front and rear trunk volume. That figure gives a capacity measure, but the published material does not establish how the space divides between the two trunks or independently verify the four-suitcase claim. Suitcase dimensions and packing conditions are not specified.
Rear access and cabin equipment
The Gemera’s B-pillarless design is intended to make it possible to enter the rear without moving the front seats, according to Koenigsegg’s model information and Gemera overview. The current specification lists four individual heated seats, three-zone climate control, four heated and four cooled cup holders, front and rear central screens, Apple CarPlay, USB ports, two inductive phone chargers and an 11-speaker premium audio system.

- Brand new box
- Real rubber tires.
- Detailed interior, exterior.
- Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts.
- Manufacturer's original unopened packaging.
These features support the manufacturer’s grand-touring positioning, but they do not amount to independent evidence about ride comfort on long trips. No independent road-test assessment is established in the sources cited here.
Dimensions and access over uneven ground
Koenigsegg lists the Gemera at 4,975 mm long, 1,988 mm wide without outer rear-view cameras and 1,295 mm tall. Its specification also lists robotized hydraulic ride-height adjustment and a front lift system. These are useful published measurements and features, but they do not establish how easy the car is to park or how suitable it is for particular roads.
Why do Gemera horsepower figures differ?
Koenigsegg’s published Gemera pages describe two powertrain configurations. The current technical specifications page lists the three-cylinder TFG setup at 1,700 hp total. The production-form specification and Koenigsegg’s current model page describe a Hot V8 and Dark Matter motor combination at 2,300 hp. These figures refer to different configurations, not a single engine setup with conflicting ratings.
| Published configuration | Engine and motor | Combined output | Other published details |
|---|---|---|---|
| TFG configuration on current technical page | Twin-turbo Freevalve three-cylinder TFG engine rated at 600 hp, with three electric motors | 1,700 hp total | Koenigsegg lists up to 50 km electric-only range, up to 950 km ICE-only range and up to 1,000 km total range for this page’s configuration. Source: current Gemera technical specifications. |
| Production-form Hot V8 configuration | 5.0 L twin-turbo Hot V8 rated at 1,500 hp, paired with the 800 hp Dark Matter motor | 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm combined | Koenigsegg’s 2023 production specification lists an 850 V, 14 kWh battery and a nine-speed LSTT transmission, four-wheel drive and four-wheel torque vectoring. Source: 2023 Gemera production specification. |
Koenigsegg says the production-form Gemera was revealed in July 2023. Its history page identifies the Hot-Vee V8, Dark Matter motor and LSTT transmission as elements of that production specification. The company’s Gemera history and current model page describe the production direction.

What are the Hot V8 and Dark Matter motor?
Koenigsegg says the Hot-Vee layout places the twin turbochargers between the V8’s cylinder banks to make a more compact engine package. The company describes Dark Matter as an in-house, six-phase motor producing 800 hp and 1,250 Nm, using its “Raxial Flux” configuration. These are manufacturer technical descriptions, not independent assessments. Further details appear on Koenigsegg’s engine and Dark Matter pages.

The Gemera’s published specifications make a clear case for an ambitious combination of passenger space, luggage capacity and extraordinary power. But the figures available here come from Koenigsegg, which is the primary source for its own designs and claimed specifications. They do not independently establish real-world luggage fit, comfort, fuel consumption, range, performance or transaction price.
