How to interpret the mpg numbers
The quoted figures do not provide a like-for-like real-world fuel-economy test across all three models. The Niro values are for 2027; the Sportage figure is specifically for an AWD SX-Prestige example; and the Sorento page gives a model-level estimate plus a separate EX figure. EPA estimates are useful for comparing listed configurations, but actual mileage varies with configuration and driving conditions. Compare the exact trim and drivetrain you intend to buy, and do not treat these figures as a guaranteed ranking of real-world results.
