Two custom 2025 Mercedes-Maybach S680s were reported in connection with Kanye West’s arrival at the 2025 Grammy Awards, but the often-repeated $500,000 price is an estimate from a secondary outlet—not an itemized or independently verified bill. The available reports also do not establish that West bought or customized the cars to “crash” the Grammys.
What Maybachs were involved?
TMZ reported on February 4, 2025, that the vehicles were two 2025 Mercedes-Maybach S680s. Its account attributed the car and customization details to Elite Auto Network, the business that worked on them. The report described newer Maybachs as starting at around $240,000, but that was an approximate sticker-price figure—not a confirmed price paid for either car. TMZ’s February 4 report does not provide purchase documents or an itemized invoice.
What customization was reported?
The cars were given a high-gloss chrome film wrap, Chrome Monoblock wheels and mirror tint. TMZ identified the wrap material as Conform Chrome Silver Film. These are reported features of the professional customization, not evidence of a particular retail product listing or of what the work cost.
How long did the work take?
Elite Auto Network told TMZ that the process took 10 days per car, counting from purchase through completed customization. That is the reported timeline for these two vehicles, not a general estimate for wrapping or customizing a Maybach.

Was the $500,000 total confirmed?
No. Finance Monthly reported on February 7, 2025, that the two cars and extras came to around half a million dollars. That outlet cited TMZ for the vehicle and customization details, but TMZ’s original car story does not itemize a total. The figure should therefore be described as Finance Monthly’s estimate, not as a verified expenditure or documented purchase price. Finance Monthly’s February 7 report is the source for the half-million-dollar framing.
Did West buy them to “crash” the Grammys?
The reports establish a connection to the event, not that motive. TMZ reported that Kanye West and Bianca Censori arrived at the Grammy Awards on February 2, 2025. Its car story says one of the Maybachs was driven to the ceremony and after-party. Neither account says that West acquired or customized the vehicles in order to “crash” the Grammys. TMZ’s February 2 arrival report documents the event appearance; it does not establish why the cars were purchased.
