A John Deere Power Beyond Kit provides rear access to pressurized hydraulic oil for an attachment with an open-center control valve that needs continuous flow. Whether a kit fits depends on the tractor’s exact model, year or build date, station configuration, and existing hydraulic options—there is no universal kit for every John Deere tractor.
What a Power Beyond Kit does
Power Beyond lets a compatible attachment use the tractor’s hydraulic system through rear connections. Deere gives backhoes and log splitters as examples of attachments that may use an open-center control valve and require continuous hydraulic flow. The kit listing describes the connections and intended use; it does not establish that every attachment or tractor combination is compatible.
Power Beyond is not simply another name for any rear hydraulic outlet. Check the attachment’s hydraulic requirements and the tractor’s existing configuration before choosing parts.
Why fitment depends on the exact tractor
Deere’s listings distinguish kits by tractor family, model year, and cab or open-station configuration. The examples below show that variation; they are not a complete compatibility catalog.

These listings should not be merged into a general rule for a tractor series. Historical Deere references also show that build date and other installed hydraulic options can affect fitment. For an older tractor, use the current parts listing or ask a Deere dealer to confirm against the machine’s details rather than relying on an old compatibility table.
What to check before ordering
- Exact tractor model: Record the full model designation, not just the series name.
- Model year or build date: Some Deere listings use model-year cutoffs, while older fitment references may distinguish build dates.
- Cab or open station: A kit listed for an open-station tractor should not be presumed to fit a cab model, or vice versa.
- Existing rear hydraulic equipment: Check for installed rear tubing, selective control valves, or other options that may conflict with the kit. Deere specifically excludes those two options from BXX10915.
- Attachment requirements: Confirm that the implement uses an open-center control valve and requires the kind of continuous flow Power Beyond is intended to provide.
- Current parts and instructions: Match the part listing and technical instructions to the exact tractor and kit. If any detail is uncertain, ask a Deere parts department or authorized dealer to verify fitment before purchase.
Important use and installation notes
Close the BXX10915 loop when disconnected
For BXX10915, Deere states: “When nothing is hooked up to the power beyond, it is critical the loop is closed to ensure proper hydraulic flow.” This is kit-specific guidance; follow the applicable instructions for the tractor and kit you have rather than treating it as a universal procedure for every Power Beyond setup.

Use instructions for the matching tractor and kit
Deere’s Technical Information Store indexes English instructions TR122908_19, version 28MAR23, for kit BXX10636 and 4044R, 4052R, 4066R, and 4075R tractors. That document’s stated applicability does not make it a universal installation guide. Obtain the instructions that match your own tractor and kit, and follow them for installation and safety details; a parts-page description is not a substitute for those steps.

Start with the current John Deere Shop parts listing for the exact model and configuration, or have a Deere dealer confirm the part against the tractor’s model and build information. Deere’s Digital Parts hydraulics page also provides 5M examples, but an example is not proof of fitment for a different model. Do not order based solely on a similar-looking part number or a listing for another tractor family.
