What JiYue has announced
JiYue revealed the ROBO X in November 2024 at the Guangzhou auto show. New Atlas reported its headline figures as acceleration from 0–60 mph in under 1.9 seconds and a range of 400 miles (644 km), attributing both to the company. No independent test result is established in the available reporting. New Atlas’s November 2024 report is the source for these claims.
Those numbers describe an announced vehicle, not a verified customer car. Final production specifications, including whether the targets will be achieved in a production version, have not been established.
Powertrain, structure and smart-driving claims
New Atlas reports that the announced powertrain has four liquid-cooled motors. It also describes a carbon-fiber unibody combined with 5052 aluminum alloy. These are reported specifications; the available material does not include independent technical documentation or testing.

The smart-driving pitch references Baidu Apollo vision-based driving technology. The SIMO voice assistant is reported to answer requests for vehicle information, including chassis dynamics, motor torque and thermal management. These features indicate a driver-assistance and vehicle-interaction pitch; they do not establish that the ROBO X can drive autonomously in all conditions or without human supervision.
How the claimed performance compares
New Atlas compares the ROBO X’s announced figures with the Lucid Air Sapphire, reporting 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds and a range of 427 miles (687 km) for the Lucid. This is a limited comparison in that report, not a comprehensive ranking or a like-for-like independent test. The ROBO X’s sub-1.9-second figure is a company claim, while the cited Lucid figures should not be taken as proof that the two cars were tested under identical conditions.

Production timing and availability
New Atlas reported in 2024 that mass production was not expected until 2027. A February 3, 2026 secondary report said a prototype was undergoing overseas road tests and that the 2027 production target remained on track. Road testing is not the same as production, and the report does not confirm that manufacturing has begun. News18a’s February 2026 report provides that later status update.
The 2024 New Atlas article also reported a preorder deposit of RMB 49,999, described at the time as about US$6,915. That is historical launch information, not evidence that reservations remain open. Current reservation terms, confirmed sales markets and final production specifications are not established by the cited reports.
