The Jeep FR 6020 is a 16-inch folding e-bike designed to take up less space when stored or transported. It pairs a 250 W rear motor with a 36 V, 6.4 Ah battery and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain; Jeep’s 2023 catalog gives an approximate range of 50 km. Its folded footprint is compact, but its roughly 20–21.6 kg weight still makes it a substantial lift. And despite the “fast as an arrow” phrase in a review headline, the sources available do not establish a measured top speed.
What the Jeep FR 6020 offers
The FR 6020 is a small-wheel folding e-bike with a magnesium frame, 16 × 1.95-inch tires, rear suspension, disc brakes and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain. Jeep’s 2023 CHF catalog lists a 250 W rear motor and an integrated 36 V, 6.4 Ah battery, while Westfalia and NextPit specify the battery as 230.4 Wh. A retailer listing and NextPit report that the battery can be removed with a key for separate charging.

Specifications can vary by market or exact bike. The 2023 catalog identifies FR 6020 and lists other FR 602x numbers as color variants; check the bike’s label and market documentation rather than assuming every listing describes an identical configuration.
How portable is it when folded?
The reported folded size of 75 × 52 × 58 cm makes the FR 6020 suited to situations where storage volume matters, such as fitting a folded bike into a limited space. Folded dimensions are not the same as easy portability, however: published weight figures run from about 20 kg to 21.6 kg. That is a meaningful lift, especially if you need to carry the bike up stairs or load it repeatedly.

NextPit also notes that its reviewed bike lacked a latch to hold it securely in the folded position. A compact fold may therefore be less convenient to carry than a design that stays neatly bundled. Check the folding mechanism on the specific bike before relying on it for frequent carrying or transit.
What is the range, and how long does charging take?
Jeep’s 2023 catalog gives an approximate range of 50 km. BOOTE and the 2022 launch report also give an up-to-50-km figure, but this is a stated range, not a guarantee for every trip. NextPit notes that results depend on factors including riding style, rider weight and hills; BOOTE likewise qualifies range by assistance mode and terrain.

BOOTE reports about four hours to charge its tested bike. That is a review-period report, not a universal charging-time guarantee; confirm charging details for the exact battery and charger supplied with the bike.
How does it ride?
BOOTE’s reviewer describes an upright, comfortable riding position, stable behavior on asphalt and agility on gravel, and reports that the disc brakes worked effectively on the tested bike. Those observations are from one hands-on review and should not be read as a controlled comparison across surfaces or riders.

Gearing and higher-speed pedaling
The 7-speed gearing drew criticism from BOOTE’s Torsten Moench. In his April 25, 2023 review, he wrote: “Einziger Wermutstropfen ist in unseren Augen die Übersetzung der 7-Gang-Shimano-Schaltung: Ab etwa 20 km/h wünscht man sich einen weiteren Gang um weniger ‘strampeln’ zu müssen.” In other words, he wanted a higher gear to reduce pedaling effort at around 20 km/h. That is a reviewer’s experience, not a measured speed ceiling or a universal limit.
Fit for taller riders
BOOTE says riders taller than 1.90 m may want a higher seatpost. If you are near or above that height, check the available saddle-height adjustment and your fit on the actual bike before buying.

Is the FR 6020 actually fast?
The available specifications establish a 250 W motor, but the sources reviewed do not establish a measured maximum speed. “Pfeilschnell” (“fast as an arrow”) appears in NextPit’s headline; it should be understood as headline language, not a verified top-speed result. The gearing feedback above is more useful for judging how pedaling may feel at higher speeds.

Who should consider the Jeep FR 6020?
The FR 6020 may suit a rider who prioritizes a small folded footprint and wants a folding e-bike with a removable battery, rear suspension and multiple gears. It is less compelling if your main need is a bike that is easy to carry regularly, if you expect a high top gear for fast pedaling, or if your fit depends on a taller seatpost.
