Which Japanese luxury SUV fits your household?
These models serve different needs, so a direct comparison starts with the number of seats you will actually use. A third row can be useful for occasional passengers, but its presence alone says little about comfort for adults.

The Toyota Crown Signia is an adjacent five-seat comfort-and-value cross-shop, not a like-for-like three-row luxury SUV. Toyota’s 2025 search listing describes leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated front seats; verify those details on an accessible, current Toyota specification page before relying on them.
What do the cited prices actually compare?
The figures below come from Acura’s manufacturer comparison pages. They are listed starting MSRPs for the stated configurations—not transaction prices—and they pair different model years and equipment. They do not establish that the vehicles are equally equipped or that the price gap applies to other trims.

How do the seats and cabin features differ?
Acura MDX: adjustment and massage depend on trim
Acura says the 2026 MDX Advance Package has heated and ventilated leather front seats with 16-way power adjustment and nine massage functions. Its comparison pages also identify heated outboard second-row seats on the MDX configuration being compared with the RX. These are manufacturer-stated equipment details, not independent assessments of seat shape or comfort.
Acura’s 2026 MDX page also lists a panoramic moonroof as standard across packages. Bang & Olufsen audio with up to 31 speakers and up to nine front-seat massage functions are described for the Type S Advance; do not assume those features apply to every MDX.

Lexus TX and RX: check the named trim and upgrade
In Acura’s comparison, the 2025 TX 350 Luxury AWD has 10-way driver and four-way passenger seat adjustment, while the compared MDX Advance has the 16-way front seats and massage functions described above. Acura also says the MDX Advance includes a head-up display and the compared TX requires an upgrade for one. This is a manufacturer’s configuration-specific comparison, not a claim about every TX or RX.
For the 2025 RX 350 Luxury AWD, Acura describes leather seating and heated and ventilated front seats plus heated second-row seating as upgrades. Its compared MDX Advance includes heated and ventilated front seats and heated outboard second-row seats. Confirm which package supplies each feature on the RX you are considering.
INFINITI QX60: interior appeal is not the same as ride comfort
INFINITI’s 2027 QX60 page promotes comfort and technology and identifies a newly available Sport grade. Edmunds, in its three-way comparison, praised the QX60’s interior design and materials. That favorable cabin impression does not establish that its seats or ride will suit every occupant.

Which SUV has the most comfortable ride?
The available evidence does not support a controlled, all-trim ride-comfort ranking. Edmunds described the QX60 it tested as stiff and jarring, while its broader comparison judged the MDX best to drive. Those are the outlet’s impressions of the vehicles and configurations in its test; they are not findings about every model year, tire setup, road surface or passenger.
For a meaningful comparison, drive the exact trims you would buy back-to-back on the same route. Include rough pavement and highway speeds, and bring the people who will regularly ride in the vehicle. Pay attention separately to seat support, impact harshness, road noise, body motion and how easily passengers enter and use the second and third rows.
What technology and driving character do you gain or give up?
Acura positions the MDX around driver-focused performance, adjustable seating and technology. Edmunds’ comparison called it the best to drive of the MDX, QX60 and TX. The TX’s optional hybrid powertrain may matter to shoppers who want that choice, but the available comparison does not provide a trim-matched fuel-economy or fuel-cost analysis.

Acura’s comparison indicates that the 2026 MDX and compared Lexus TX differ on Google built-in. Because connected features and software availability can vary by model year, trim and service terms, verify the specific vehicle’s interface and current connected-service availability rather than relying on a model-wide assumption.
For an apples-to-apples technology check, try the phone pairing, navigation, driver display and audio system in the actual vehicles. Compare the equipment list as well as the screen: an audio upgrade, head-up display or seat feature may be limited to a package or grade.
What might you give up versus a BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Audi?
Edmunds frames Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz as alternatives that can be more expensive and tech-heavy in the shopping context of its comparison. The evidence here does not provide matched rival trims, prices or equipment, so it cannot show that every Japanese option costs less, offers more, or is less technologically ambitious than a specific German SUV.

To make that comparison useful, identify the exact rival model year and trim, then match drivetrain, seating, seat functions, driver aids, audio and major options. Compare current listed prices and test the cabins yourself; brand reputation alone cannot establish which vehicle feels more comfortable or is better equipped for your household.
How to make the final comparison
- Set the seating requirement. Decide whether five seats are enough or whether a third row is necessary, and consider who will sit there.
- Choose the actual trims. Make a short list with the model year, drivetrain and package for each vehicle; model names alone do not specify seat or technology equipment.
- Verify the build sheets. Check adjustment, heating, ventilation, massage, second-row features, display and audio equipment against the manufacturer’s current local specifications.
- Drive the same route. Compare the same road surfaces with the regular occupants aboard, noting ride impacts and seat comfort separately.
- Compare real quotes. Use local dealer quotes for the chosen configurations rather than treating manufacturer-listed starting MSRPs as transaction prices.
The comparisons cited here do not establish a long-term reliability, depreciation, insurance, repair-cost or total-ownership-cost winner. Assess those costs independently for the model years and vehicles you are considering.
