The Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon Sapphire Crystal is a hand-wound mechanical watch whose centerpiece is a miniature, animated W16 engine block. Jacob & Co. lists its JCAM37 movement with 578 components, 51 jewels and a 60-hour power reserve. Its “Sapphire Crystal” name covers distinct references and finishes, however, so price, edition size and case details depend on the exact version.
What the Bugatti Chiron Sapphire Crystal watch does
The watch combines timekeeping with a mechanical display inspired by the Chiron’s 16-cylinder engine. Jacob & Co. lists hours and minutes, a one-minute flying tourbillon inclined at 30 degrees, a W16 engine-block automaton and a power-reserve indicator at 9 o’clock for caliber JCAM37. The movement is hand-wound and has a stated 60-hour power reserve. Jacob & Co.’s yellow matte listing gives the movement specifications.
The engine animation is a miniature mechanical feature, not a functioning car engine. In its April 20, 2020 launch account, Bugatti says pressing the right-hand crown starts the animation, turning the crankshaft and moving the pistons. Specs depend on the sapphire reference
Two official listings illustrate why the finish and reference should be identified before quoting the edition or materials. The yellow matte sapphire listing calls its watch a “Pièce Unique,” while the Japanese listing is for clear sapphire reference BU210.80.AA.AA.B and gives a seven-piece edition. Their shared dimensions and water-resistance figures do not make the configurations interchangeable.

The listed 57.8 × 44.4 mm footprint and 21.5 mm height make this a substantial watch; the 30 m rating is the stated water resistance for the cited variants, not a reason to treat either as a diving watch. Confirm the dimensions and case construction against the reference being offered.
