Yes: the seventh-generation Nissan Patrol, unveiled in Abu Dhabi on 3 September 2024, is available in Middle East specifications with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 rated by Nissan at 425 hp and 700 Nm. It is not the only engine choice in that regional lineup: Nissan also lists a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6.
What Nissan announced
Nissan’s September 2024 reveal introduced the seventh-generation Patrol and a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The company said the engine delivers 425 hp at 5,600 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm. Those are Nissan’s published Middle East specifications, not independent test results. Nissan’s Abu Dhabi launch announcement identifies the new generation and its headline engine.
Patrol engine choices in Nissan Middle East specifications
The regional range includes both a turbocharged and a naturally aspirated V6. Nissan lists both with a 9-speed automatic and 4WD; equipment and grades vary across the range. The twin-turbo’s rated output is substantially higher, particularly in torque, but the naturally aspirated engine remains an alternative in the cited Middle East lineup. The specifications do not establish which engine or grade is sold in every country.

How Nissan says the twin-turbo engine is engineered
Nissan describes several design choices intended to support power delivery and response. The company says the engine uses turbine wheels made from Mar-M, a nickel-based superalloy; fuel pressure of 35 MPa, compared with 15 MPa in the outgoing V8; a 100.2 mm piston stroke, compared with 92 mm; and electric intake valve timing. Nissan also cites mirror bore coating, a high heat-resistant turbocharger and a scavenger oil pump intended to maintain lubrication on slopes and inclines. These are manufacturer descriptions of the engineering and its purpose, not independent assessments. Nissan’s technical announcement provides those details.
What the improvement claims mean
Nissan says the new engine offers 7% more power, 25% more torque and 24% better fuel efficiency than the outgoing V8. These percentages are Nissan’s comparisons, not independently measured results or a real-world fuel-consumption guarantee. The available material does not establish a regulator-certified economy figure or an independent test comparison.

Regional availability and later Patrol variants
The launch and specification information cited here is for the Middle East, including Nissan’s regional lineup; Nissan says prices vary by market. Check the local Nissan site or dealer for the engine, grade, equipment and price offered in your country. Nissan’s Japan Mobility Show page says the company plans to introduce the Patrol in Japan in the first half of fiscal 2027 and labels the displayed vehicle a Middle East-market model; that is a future plan, not confirmation of an existing Japan-market sale. The 425 hp figure applies to the standard 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo specification described above. It should not be confused with later, more specialized variants. In October 2025, Nissan described the Middle East Patrol NISMO as producing nearly 500 hp and 700 Nm in Sport Mode, and positioned the PRO-4X as an all-terrain-oriented model.
