What is the Italjet Dragster 700?
Italjet positions the Dragster 700 between scooter and motorcycle categories, combining compact proportions and a seated riding position with a sports-bike-style powertrain and manual controls. The company puts the distinction plainly: “We do not like to call it a scooter. It is not simply a motorcycle either.” That makes it a poor fit for anyone expecting a standard automatic scooter.

Italjet’s product page describes this as a new performance segment. The label is the company’s positioning; the practical distinction for a rider is the manual six-speed transmission and chain final drive.
How much power does it make, and what are the published specifications?
Italjet lists a liquid-cooled, four-stroke twin-cylinder engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection, displacing 698 cc. Its claimed maximum output is 51.5 kW (69 hp) at 8,500 rpm, and its listed maximum speed is 190 km/h. These are figures published by the manufacturer, not independently measured performance.

Italjet cautions that specifications can vary with market, homologation, model year and production updates. Its 65 mpg figure has no test-cycle information on the product page, so it should not be treated as a verified real-world consumption estimate.
What equipment stands out?
The published hardware list mixes premium-brand components with technology unusual for a scooter-shaped machine. Italjet lists fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tyres, an Akrapovič twin-exit exhaust and integrated front and rear HD cameras.
- Suspension: Marzocchi upside-down front forks and an adjustable single rear shock. Italjet says its ISAS system lets riders adjust rear-suspension stiffness for comfort or performance.
- Brakes: Brembo hydraulic discs, with twin 270 mm discs at the front and a 260 mm disc at the rear, plus ABS.
- Tyres: Pirelli 120/70-R15 at the front and 160/60-R15 at the rear.
- Other equipment: LED lighting and integrated front and rear HD cameras.

What colours are listed, and how can you check availability in Italy?
Italjet lists two factory colourways: Black/Yellow and Red/White. The company warns that colour availability can vary by market, so the listed options do not guarantee that both can be ordered in Italy at a given time.
Italjet directs prospective buyers to its dealer finder and enquiry form. The form says an enquiry does not confirm availability, allocation or purchase. The official material reviewed does not state a current Italian list price, delivery date or allocation figure; ask a local dealer for those details before making plans.
Is this the same as Aprilia’s new 400 scooter?
No. Piaggio Group’s November 14, 2025 EICMA announcement introduced the Aprilia SR GT 400 for 2026, a separate 400 cc adventure-oriented scooter. Piaggio listed 36 CV and 186 kg in running order for that model. It is not the 698 cc Italjet Dragster 700.
