A waiting-list registration is not a guarantee of a scooter.
What Italjet unveiled at EICMA
Italjet presented the Roadster 400 at EICMA 2025 as an entry into a new segment. The company describes its exposed frame, bold silhouette and premium styling as defining features; those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not an independent design or riding assessment. Italjet identifies its steering arrangement as DLAS, or Dynamic Linkage Articulated Steering, and says the steering linkage operates independently of the suspension system.

The technical figures currently published by Italjet are labeled as the Roadster 400 Founders Edition specification. The company cautions that exact engine size can vary under local market regulations. These figures are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured test results. Italjet lists a 24-month unlimited-mileage warranty, service intervals at 15,000 km or 12 months, and valve-clearance service at 30,000 km. These published maintenance intervals do not establish repair costs, long-term reliability or total cost of ownership. The source material does not provide independent handling, acceleration or braking test results.

Founders Edition allocation, price and delivery timing
On its current product page, Italjet reports that all 777 individually numbered Founders Edition scooters were claimed in 46 minutes and marks the allocation sold out. Those are manufacturer-reported allocation figures, not an independent measure of market demand. The same page lists a European suggested retail price of €9,990 for the Founders Edition.
Italjet’s current production schedule is Q1 2027, with customer deliveries expected before the European summer of 2027. The company says the original September 2026 production timing was an estimate published at launch, not a confirmed delivery date. The page offers a waiting list for possible cancellations, but states that registration does not guarantee availability.
Regional prices and timing are not interchangeable
Italjet Croatia lists the Roadster 400 at €8,600 before registration and says it will be available on the world market at the end of 2026. That is a regional listing with different timing language from Italjet’s current main product page, which gives a Q1 2027 production schedule and a €9,990 European Founders Edition SRP. These figures should not be treated as one universal price or delivery promise. Check with a local authorised dealer for the current edition, final on-road price, homologation and delivery terms. What buyers should verify before comparing or ordering
The Founders Edition data is a useful reference, but the local version, price and timing need confirmation. When comparing the Roadster 400 with another scooter, use the same measures for each model rather than relying on styling claims or headline power alone:
- Confirm the edition and local price, including registration or other on-road charges.
- Check the locally homologated engine displacement, output, emissions and equipment.
- Compare engine output and torque alongside wet weight and seat height.
- Compare the transmission and the steering and suspension architecture.
- Check tyre dimensions, brake hardware and safety equipment.
- Compare service intervals and confirm warranty terms with the local seller.
- Ask for a confirmed local production or delivery estimate rather than treating an estimate or waiting-list position as a guarantee.
Italjet’s published specification establishes what it says the Founders Edition includes; it does not establish a performance winner or value advantage. No independent road test, measured acceleration or braking evaluation, ownership review or reliability history is established by the available manufacturer and dealer pages.
