Islamabad motorists could get an M-Tag installed, recharge it or renew its details at eight reported service points in a November 19, 2025 announcement. Those locations and hours are a dated list, not a confirmed current directory: later reports added sites and described a Ramadan-specific schedule. Check official Islamabad Excise channels for the active point, its hours and the service you need before setting out.

Why the list and hours may have changed
Subsequent updates described a wider network and different operating arrangements. APP reported on November 20, 2025 that the department described 10 locations, adding Gol Market, F-7 and Metro Cash & Carry, I-11 to the eight-point list. APP gave daily hours of 9am–9pm; that, too, was a dated snapshot.

On November 28, 2025, the Capital Development Authority reported that its November 27 meeting had been told 10 points were established and that more counters were being added. The CDA said more than 35,000 vehicles had been fitted with M-Tags at that time.
A March 3, 2026 report described 13 service points operating on a Ramadan schedule: four with 24-hour service and nine with 12-hour service. It named 26 Number Chungi, F-9 Park, Faizabad and Phulgran among the 24-hour locations. That schedule was specific to Ramadan and should not be treated as the regular schedule now.

Confirm the right location before you go
The available dated reports do not establish which locations are active or their hours on October 8, 2026. Check the latest information through the official Islamabad Excise website or its official channels. Verify the exact point, today’s hours and whether it offers the service you need. Do not rely on a past schedule as confirmation that a counter is open.
There is no verified fee, processing time or online recharge method established in these reports. Avoid assuming a generic RFID sticker is a valid substitute for an official Islamabad M-Tag. A National Assembly document describes the system as implemented by ICT Administration in coordination with FWO; FWO carries out operational tasks and issues tags for two- and four-wheeled vehicles. It also says FWO installed RFID readers at Islamabad e-Naka points and integrated the M-Tag system with Safe City cameras and systems. The parliamentary record’s annex covers April 25–29, 2026 and lists 484,164 registered vehicles and motorcycles in the M-Tag annex: 296,823 vehicles and 187,341 motorcycles. Those figures describe that annex’s period and categories, not a current count of service points or a direct comparison with the CDA’s November 2025 rollout figure.
