Yes—but Toyota’s new off-roader is officially called the Land Cruiser FJ, not the FJ Cruiser. Toyota unveiled the Land Cruiser FJ on Oct. 21, 2025, describing it as a compact member of the Land Cruiser family. That makes it more accurate to call it a new Land Cruiser FJ than a revived FJ Cruiser.
Where is the Land Cruiser FJ on sale?
Availability is market-specific. Toyota has announced launches in several Asian markets, but those announcements do not establish that the vehicle is sold everywhere.

Is the new Land Cruiser FJ coming to the United States?
Toyota had not listed the Land Cruiser FJ or FJ Cruiser on its U.S. lineup page when checked on Oct. 8, 2026; the page did list the Land Cruiser. The sources checked did not include an official U.S. launch announcement. That establishes neither a U.S. launch date nor a final decision against future U.S. sales. Check Toyota’s U.S. lineup for the current listing rather than treating another country’s launch as confirmation for America.
What are the Land Cruiser FJ’s specifications?
The figures depend on market and release. Toyota’s 2025 reveal published prototype specifications, while its 2026 Japan launch release gives production-series details. The Philippines release publishes some different dimensions, so these figures should not be blended into one supposedly universal specification.

For the Japan-market production series, Toyota lists maximum output of 120 kW (163 PS) and maximum torque of 246 N·m. It gives fuel efficiency as 8.7 km/L in WLTC mode, a figure certified by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Toyota says WLTC represents city, suburban and highway driving; this is not a U.S. EPA rating or an independent real-world test. Toyota’s Japan launch release gives the market-specific figures.
How does it compare with the Land Cruiser 250?
In its Japan-market launch information, Toyota says the FJ’s wheelbase is 270 mm shorter than the Land Cruiser 250’s and gives the FJ a minimum turning radius of 5.5 m. Toyota lists the FJ at 4,575 mm long and 1,855 mm wide, versus 4,925 mm and 1,980 mm for the 250 Series. These are Toyota-published specifications, not independent measurements or a claim that every market version has identical dimensions. The shorter wheelbase and smaller stated exterior dimensions indicate a more compact footprint; they do not, by themselves, establish comparative off-road performance.

What off-road hardware and customization does Toyota describe?
Toyota describes the Land Cruiser FJ as using a ladder-frame platform and part-time four-wheel drive, with double-wishbone front suspension and four-link rigid rear suspension. Listed driver aids include Downhill Assist Control, Hill Start Assist Control, and an electric rear differential lock. These are manufacturer-published equipment and design details, not results from an independent test.
Toyota has also discussed customization options, including MOLLE panels intended to carry outdoor equipment. The company cautions that option content and availability vary by region, so a planned accessory should not be assumed to be currently sold or compatible with every market version.
