Yes—one real Nissan Silvia S15 stunt car used for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was reported surviving and undergoing restoration in France in March 2020. That is the last status established by the reporting cited here; it does not confirm the car’s location or condition in October 2026, or whether its restoration was completed.
Which Tokyo Drift S15 was reported to survive?
The car in question is a real production stunt vehicle, not simply the fictional Silvia in the film’s story. On 26 March 2020, Caradisiac reported that one of the film’s S15 stunt cars was at Garage du Buëch in France and was being restored. Grand Tourisme Import, which said it had sourced the car for a client, also described the restoration as beginning on 30 March 2020.
Those reports establish a dated account of a surviving car and restoration work. They do not establish where the S15 is now, who owns it, whether it is roadworthy today, or whether the restoration was completed after the reports.
Don’t confuse the film’s story car with a production car
In the film’s story, Sean damages a borrowed Silvia S15 in his first race. A later S15 appears as a car he drives. The fan-maintained Fast and the Furious Wiki entry distinguishes the damaged car as a Spec-S and the later car as a Spec-R. That is a secondary reference to fictional continuity, not a production record identifying the physical cars used on set.

- Brand new box.
- Real rubber tires.
- Has opening doors.
- Detailed interior, exterior.
- Officially licensed product.
The S15 reported in France is a separate matter: it is a specific real stunt car. The available reporting does not show that every S15 appearance in the film used the same physical vehicle, so the fictional car’s fate should not be used to identify the surviving stunt car.
How many S15 stunt cars were made, and what was in this one?
Caradisiac reported in 2020 that four S15 stunt cars of this type were assembled for the film and that two had been destroyed. The outlet described two as remaining roadworthy at the time, including the car it covered. Grand Tourisme Import also said four Silvias were made and two were destroyed. These are outlet-reported figures, not an independently verified inventory of every picture car or replica.

- Limited edition. Brand new box. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Detailed interior, exterior. Comes in a blister pack. Officially licensed product. Does not have any openings. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-2.625 inches long.
Caradisiac also cautioned against equating the car’s screen image with its actual setup. The report said the particular stunt car it covered did not have the RB26 Nissan GT-R engine shown in the film; it described the S15 stunt cars as using naturally aspirated engines of about 200 horsepower. That is a detail reported about the cars in 2020, not a verified specification for the S15’s present configuration.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What can be said about its status now?
The evidence supports a careful answer: a real Tokyo Drift S15 stunt car was reported alive and in restoration in France in March 2020. The cited reports do not provide a verified update through October 2026. Without a newer confirmation, it would be inaccurate to say the car is still in France, has been restored, or remains roadworthy today.
