No official Hyundai announcement in the materials reviewed confirms that the N Vision 74 is heading to production. Hyundai introduced it in 2022 as a hydrogen fuel-cell hybrid “rolling lab” and said then that it was “not confirmed for commercial production.” Hyundai’s currently surfaced concept information still describes it as a rolling lab, not a retail car program.
Has Hyundai confirmed N Vision 74 production?
No. Hyundai’s 2022 announcement explicitly said the N Vision 74 and RN22e were “though not confirmed for commercial production.” Hyundai’s currently surfaced regional concept information continues to identify the N Vision 74 as a rolling lab; the official Hyundai sources reviewed do not announce that this vehicle is going into production. Hyundai’s 2022 announcement and Hyundai Motor Europe’s concept page are the relevant references.
Hyundai described the rolling labs as a way to test and verify advanced technologies for possible use in future production models. That makes the N Vision 74 a technology demonstrator; it does not, by itself, establish that a showroom version is planned. At the time, Thomas Schemera, then Hyundai Motor Company’s Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Division, said: “RN22e and N Vision 74 play an important role in the strategic development of our entire product lineup, especially our electrified, high-performance vehicles.” That statement described their development role, not a production commitment.
What is the N Vision 74?
Hyundai introduced the N Vision 74 in 2022 as a high-performance hydrogen fuel-cell hybrid rolling lab. It combines a hydrogen fuel-cell system with a battery and rear electric motors, rather than being a conventional battery-electric concept. Hyundai says the styling pays homage to its 1974 Pony Coupe concept, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro.

These are Hyundai’s figures for the concept, not confirmed specifications for a production car. Hyundai’s model page lists:
- 62.4 kWh battery
- Two hydrogen tanks with 4.2 kg capacity in total
- Fuel-cell stack output of 85 kW net and 95 kW maximum
- Rear motor output above 500 kW and torque above 900 Nm
- Claimed range above 600 km
- Five-minute refueling

When will it be available, and how much will it cost?
Hyundai’s official information cited above gives no confirmed retail release date or production price. Since a production car has not been officially confirmed in those sources, there is no established launch schedule or price to report. Any date, price, or claim about production volume or sales markets would need to come from a future Hyundai announcement.
