For riders who want a relatively accessible price, substantial V-twin output, and modern rider aids in a stripped-back cruiser, the 2025 Street Bob is a strong all-round Harley-Davidson choice. It is not a universal winner: the Low Rider ST is the clearer fit for riders who want a fairing, while the Low Rider S publishes higher engine output. “Most well-rounded” depends on how you divide your riding between city streets, highways, and longer trips.
What “well-rounded” means for a cruiser
A useful all-rounder balances the things you will actually use: purchase cost, power, rider aids, riding position, wind protection, fuel capacity, and the ability to carry a passenger or luggage. The Street Bob has a convincing mix of price, equipment, and performance on paper, but the available manufacturer specifications do not settle questions such as long-distance comfort, passenger usability, or real-world handling.
The comparisons below are based on Harley-Davidson’s US-market 2025 model pages, not independent road tests. Harley-Davidson does not publish a score for how “well-rounded” a motorcycle is.
What the 2025 Street Bob offers
Harley-Davidson lists the Street Bob with a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic engine rated at 98 hp and 120 ft-lb of torque. Its listed running weight is 646 lb. The specification sheet also gives it a 3.5-gallon fuel tank and manufacturer-estimated fuel economy of 47 mpg; that estimate is not a measured road-test result, and it does not establish a dependable distance between fuel stops. The equipment list is unusually useful for a pared-back cruiser: Road, Rain, and Sport ride modes; cornering ABS; traction control; drag-torque slip control; a tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS); LED lighting; and USB-C charging. Harley-Davidson also specifies a four-inch display with an analog gauge above an LCD screen. These are manufacturer-listed features; their value will depend on how and where you ride.
The layout is part of the trade-off. Harley-Davidson describes the Street Bob as a bobber with mini-ape handlebars and mid-mounted foot controls. That gives buyers a distinct, minimalist cruiser format, but a specification page alone cannot tell you whether the reach to the bars or the resulting posture will suit your body or riding duration.

How it compares with the Low Rider S and Low Rider ST
The Low Rider S is the most direct comparison for a buyer weighing the Street Bob’s price against more published engine output. The Low Rider ST is the documented alternative for riders who want a fairing. Harley-Davidson’s official pages establish the following comparison points:
| Model (US, 2025) | Advertised starting MSRP | Published engine output | Wind protection |
|---|---|---|---|
| Street Bob | $15,999, listed by Harley-Davidson | 98 hp; 120 ft-lb, Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic | No fairing is established in the cited model information |
| Low Rider S | $19,999, listed by Harley-Davidson | 114 hp; 128 ft-lb, Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output | No fairing is established in the cited model information |
| Low Rider ST | Not stated in the cited source | Not stated in the cited source | Frame-mounted fairing; Harley-Davidson says its design is intended to improve airflow and reduce wind fatigue |
The Street Bob’s listed starting MSRP is $4,000 below the Low Rider S’s. Those are advertised starting prices from Harley-Davidson’s US 2025 pages, not an out-the-door comparison; taxes, fees, options, local inventory, and current offers can change what a buyer pays. The Low Rider S also has the higher published output: its 114 hp and 128 ft-lb figures compare with the Street Bob’s 98 hp and 120 ft-lb. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Harley-Davidson’s 2025 Low Rider S page

For wind protection, the useful point of difference is the Low Rider ST’s frame-mounted fairing. Harley-Davidson says it was developed to improve airflow and help reduce wind fatigue. That is the company’s design intent, not independent proof of comfort for every rider. The cited ST specification page does not state a comparable starting price or output figure. It is the strongest fit for a buyer who prefers its bobber layout and does not consider a fairing or higher published output essential.

Consider the Low Rider S if you prioritize published engine output
The Low Rider S publishes 114 hp and 128 ft-lb, higher than the Street Bob’s listed 98 hp and 120 ft-lb. Its listed starting MSRP is also $4,000 higher. Whether that difference is worth paying is a personal choice; the figures do not by themselves prove which bike feels better or suits your riding.
Consider the Low Rider ST if wind protection is a priority
The Low Rider ST is the clear option in this comparison for a buyer seeking a fairing, because Harley-Davidson specifically describes its frame-mounted fairing as designed to improve airflow and reduce wind fatigue. A ride is still the practical way to assess how it works for your height, posture, speed, and routes.

What the specifications cannot tell you
The Street Bob’s 3.5-gallon tank and 47 mpg manufacturer estimate do not prove a real-world range. Actual fuel use and the distance you are comfortable covering before refueling are not established by the cited page, so plan stops around your own use rather than treating an estimated economy figure as a promise.
Nor do the listed figures establish comparative reliability, maintenance costs, owner satisfaction, highway comfort, passenger comfort, luggage capacity, or real-world performance. If those determine your choice, compare current model details and arrange a test ride in the riding conditions that matter to you. Harley-Davidson’s 2025 cruiser lineup is a starting point for checking the range of models.
