Yes—if “right” means a finish with a meaningful Koenigsegg connection and a striking balance of orange, silver and exposed carbon. Koenigsegg said its pre-series Jesko wore Tang Orange Pearl as a visual homage to the early CCR color palette. That makes the choice more than a matter of taste, though it does not make it the only correct Jesko color.
Why Tang Orange Pearl suits the Jesko
Koenigsegg’s July 15, 2021 release describes the pre-series Jesko this way: “Painted in Tang Orange Pearl with silver and carbon-fiber accents, this Jesko is a visual homage to the early original Koenigsegg CCR color palette.” Koenigsegg’s announcement is the clearest basis for calling Tang Orange Pearl a particularly fitting color: it connects the Jesko to the company’s earlier design history while giving its sculpted body a bold, high-contrast finish.
The CCR reference is a design intention, not proof that the two cars share an identical paint formula or measured shade. The available descriptions do not establish a factory paint code or a complete, ranked Jesko color palette. “The right color” is therefore an aesthetic judgment supported by the car’s heritage—not an objective verdict or a claim that every Jesko should be orange.
What the orange Jesko specifications show
Tang Orange is not limited to the pre-series car, and the surrounding details can change the look substantially. The Koenigsegg Registry records different combinations on two Jesko Attacks:

These records show why the name of the base color alone does not tell the whole story: silver and exposed carbon give one car a restrained, material-focused contrast, while blue and yellow graphics make another more explicitly colorful. The registry entries describe individual specifications; they are not a complete factory color catalogue.
How to decide if it is the right choice for you
- Choose Tang Orange Pearl for heritage and contrast. Its documented link to the CCR palette gives the color a specific Koenigsegg story, and silver or carbon accents keep the orange from standing alone.
- Look at the whole specification, not just the paint name. Graphics, exposed carbon, silver details, and the exact Jesko variant all affect the result.
- Treat the shade as a visual description, not a repair formula. No exact factory paint code or formula is established here, and generic orange touch-up paint should not be assumed to match. For a repair, confirm the specification with Koenigsegg or a qualified paint supplier.
If you are considering a scale model
Orange Jesko miniatures do not all represent the same version or livery. Retail listings provide examples, but availability can change: Best Buy lists a Solido 1:43 Tang Orange Metallic Jesko Attack as officially licensed, while LiveCarModel lists an officially licensed GT Spirit 1:18 resin Tang Orange Attack. Those licensing descriptions are retailer claims, not independent verification.
